Introduction: I love meeting people and creating a piece of art just for them. Either adapting something they like or making something new; I love making people happy. We decorate things that we highly value, and henna and body art is us taking time to value and celebrate ourselves and each other. Life is precious, and I love using henna and my whole bag of tricks to remind us of that.

Erin works fast and is extremely talented. Her henna designs are so unique and beautiful! Her creativity was especially helpful since I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. She made up something lovely right on the spot! Also she went into lots of detail about how to care for the henna and get the most out of it. Can't wait to get more!

Erin was the henna artist for my recent party. In fact, she has done several of my parties in the past and does a beautiful job. She is quite a talented artist and is very personable. I will definitely have her back for my next event!

A great resource and amazing talent to have at any event! Erin is very skilled at what she does and is very professional and flexible. She works well for events aimed at any age. She worked with us for an event for college students and it was a wild success!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I research new pattern sources constantly. I keep an eye on common designs, but you can find me sketching patterns down in museums, fabric stores, in front of my computer, wherever i find inspiration. Recently I took a class on medieval manuscript Illumination so that I can provide authentically old European-flavored designs.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've always loved meaningful, functional art. In 2000, the owner of a shop I worked at saw some of my artwork, and offered for comp me a couple henna kits if I would learn it and offer my services to store patrons. I was hooked right away. The natural dye was kind to my skin, the staying power let me really enjoy the art, and the traditions of use were fascinating. The rest, as they say, is history.
