Zachary immediately put me at ease and made me feel quite comfortable about having my portrait painted. He took the time to get to know me better during preliminary meetings. We discussed his process and ideas for the painting as well as my own expectations. As a result, I felt relaxed and unself-conscious the entire time Zach worked on the painting. I feel this is reflected in the very warm, natural and life-like portrait that he delivered. It is painted with great skill and vividly expresses my personality. Zach was very professional in his manner throughout the portrait process. It was a wonderful experience and I am very happy with the result!

Love it, love it, love it! The portrait is very rich in color and depth and was more than I could have hoped for. Zach was really nice and easy to talk with. I liked choosing what I wanted to wear, have my hair, what jewelry to wear, etc. and have his input about those things too. The photo session was easy and I felt very relaxed. I've gotten many compliments on the portrait and I never thought I would be the owner of something that looked like it belonged in a gallery or museum. Very happy!

Price is based upon size and complexity of the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss your ideas on the phone or in person and then proceed by scheduling a photo session. We will then choose one or several images from which I will work. I will check in several times along the way to ensure a final image that you will love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. 20 years of professional experience.
