Introduction: I have the experience to customize a session to fulfill the client's vision. We'll discuss all the details to get a real sense of what you're looking to achieve. Then we'll determine the appropriate setting, clothing and plan the proper lighting and other details to achieve that vision. Whether your vision is to capture very candid, casual images of your children or you want to create a classic, posed portrait, I will listen to your needs and together we will create the images that you envision. I LOVE working with people...kids, teens, adults. I love that I have the opportunity to work with all of them. And I love creating meaningful portraits that really capture the true substance of a person.

Jane was a pleasure to work with. I used her for a surprise portrait session for my mom's 50th birthday, and she was able to accommodate my last-minute scheduling requests with family flying in from all over the country. Not only was she flexible to work with, but she made the portrait session so much fun and it is truly a memory we will all share forever. The final portrait is stunning and absolutely the single most complimented piece in my parent's home. I highly recommend Jane for any of your photography/portrait needs.

It was a real pleasure to have Jane photograph my new online profile pictures. She was friendly, professional, and immediately put me at ease during the entire photo shoot. But more importantly, Jane took stunning photographs. There are so many of my photos that I am very happy with and think Jane did such a fantastic job with the colors, lighting, and overall look. In fact, in many of the shots, I cannot believe that the picture is actually me (because it looks TOO good). We hired Jane to photograph a milestone birthday party. She was very easy to work with; clear communications, reliable, arrived on time and with working equipment. She gave clear directions to our large group for the poses. The resulting photos were excellent and the price was fair. I highly recommend her photo services.

Our experience was excellent. Jane was punctual, professional and very creative. My wife and I had a small courthouse wedding and was planning to take pictures in a garden across from the courthouse. Well, it rained and as such we couldn't take the pictures in the garden. However, being the professional that Jane is, she was able to still capture breathtaking pictures of our wedding day. Jane was extremely creative, gave clear direction regarding different poses... Jane is simply the best... Thank you Jane. Mr. and Mrs Stevens

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not really complicated. I charge a session fee that includes: 1. Personal consultation to custom design your unique portrait session. 2. preparing for and shooting the session (in the studio and/or outdoors) 3. post processing/editing images and preparation of digital previews 4. Private presentation meeting to view and order portraits. All products are ordered separately.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I'm a member of the Maryland PPA and I attend workshops to continually improve my skills.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved photography and took my first class in high school. Then when I started college at RIT as an "undeclared science major", I heard about the Imaging and Photographic Technology program. When I saw how it was the perfect combination of art and science, I immediately changed my major. A little over 4 years later, I got my Bachelor's Degree and the rest was history.
