Thanks so much Stacey. You were both great to work with on your master bedroom. I look forward to the next project. My Best, Michelle
Michelle is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, AND DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! I did not get any updates on orders until I called her numerous times, and even then we were treated as if we were bothering her. We were told it would take 8-12 weeks the latest when it took 22weeks for a sofa, ottoman, rug and two bar stools. She had EVERY excuse after excuse, oh sorry by this time I have been passed off to her assistant Kevin, because she was dealing with a lot of personal issues and didn't know how to separate the two. I picked out a back splash for my kitchen with her. She wrote down the name and I ordered through a tile company not through Michelle. When the tile arrives it's the wrong tile and the tile company does NOT take returns or exchanges. Michelle, first refused to take responsibility that she wrote down the incorrect tile name. It took several emails and texts for her to finally admit it was her error. After 18 weeks and still no furniture and no idea when I would be receiving the furniture, I emailed her asking what is the issue? Kevin the assistant told me that they had canceled my order with out my consent. Imagine how upset I was. It took me calling corporate for them to finally deliver the furniture. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND MICHELLE TO ANYONE!Feb 22, 2016VerifiedMichelle B.'s reply
Thank you for your concerned response. Since we have never received a negative Thumbtack review we take this very seriously and feel that it is important that since you were not the actual customer, to be sure that all of the facts are given correctly. We acknowledge there were delays - some from our client asking us to hold the deposit check for a while, some delivery issues including an ice storm in N. Carolina where the furniture was produced, and yes, some on our end while we were engaged in a life threatening battle with cancer. I did not accept responsibility for you ordering from another company and then blaming me. After offering a full refund to our client, we agreed to make a financial concession due to the inconvenience and finalized delivery without being coerced by our corporate office. We feel that communication is a key to a good relationship and strive to make even more progress in this area in 2017. Thank you again for your thoughts and I sincerely hope that you were able fulfill your decorating needs. Michelle
Michelle was great to work with in designing the interior of our first home! We loved her style and attention to detail. Her design choices were on point and current with the trends going on in the market.Nov 13, 2017Michelle B.'s reply
Thank you for the kind words David. I'm glad we were able to achieve the vision we laid out. I look forward to seeing you both (and the new baby) in January for the next phase. Take care, Michelle
Michelle found a design that fit my style perfectly and the quality was excellent. She was also quick to respond to emails and texts. I’ve used her services three times in the past two years and would recommend her to anyone.Nov 9, 2017Michelle B.'s reply
Thanks Aaron. You are a great client to work with in that you give me some direction but allow me to use my talents and many, many suppliers to achieve the look you were after. My Best, Michelle

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices vary by category due to their very nature. I price at a reasonable retail cost and all of my expertise comes at no extra cost. This truly allows my clients to get more for their money.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I meet with my potential client for a 1-1.5 hour complementary consultation. The goal there is for both of us to get to know one another to make sure we will work well together, and secondly to really uncover what you are trying to achieve with the decorating or design. I Never force my opinions on my clients. I listen really well and then I use my talents and access to thousands of products to propose a design solution that fits my client's lifestyle and budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? After my intense on-the-job training, I took formal classes and got Certified. I bought a franchise via Decorating Den Interiors and they have tons of continuing education, field visits to manufacturers & showrooms, workshops and special classes held in High Point, NC (the furniture capital of the world). Our Sr. Director of Design is a member of the Color Marketing Group so we know the color trends that are on the horizon before almost everyone else in our industry.
