Introduction: I have a WEALTH of experience as an educator (secondary schools, college, fellowship recipient (Washington Internships in Education, Federal Executive Development Program) and award winning leadership service with the U.S. Department of Education which qualifies me to be a quick study in meeting the academic and social needs of students from the early secondary to the college levels.
I am a prolific writer of poetry, screenplays, movie scripts, and stage plays and have had my productions produced with acclamation, such as my production of "MAHALIA", a gospel musical based on the life and times of "The Queen of Gospel", Mahalia Jackson which I wrote, directed, and stage- managed at the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew, Silver Spring, Md. in September 2013.
Currently I am completing a stage play entitled "The Adventures of UNDER- COVER GRANDMOTHER" about a "retired" detective hired by the FBI to investigate rampant fraud, waste and abuse of Medicare and Medicaid at Nursing Homes. She uncovers a rampant number of abuses over and above just those stated above, including drug smuggling and prostitution.
The satisfaction of making a positive difference in the lives of persons of all ages who enjoy The Arts.
My monthly poems, published in the newsletter of my church (The Peoples Community Baptist Church) receive great acclaim and are looked forward to by a large host of members and affiliates of the church (Approximately 3,000 individuals of all ages) every month.
I love to create works of Art on paper and to work with all ages, with a specialty in meeting the needs of Seniors.
