Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: In helping write vows or ceremony, I have the chance to read many new (or familiar) inspiring or meaningful texts to help me craft a personalized, meaningful ceremony. So, when we meet, I try to discern what you're most important values are and match them to the many readings, poems, prayers I know; I also craft my own prose and poetry to capture and express who you are and what aspects of your personality, your family, your history, or the context gives points of departure to create more meaningful, personalized words that you can carry with you in the future. Further, we together will identify rituals that have significance and are keyed to what we are working together to accomplish in your ceremony.

It was a very small ceremony just me and my now husband and Marc. Somehow he managed to make it feel like a real occasion. Both of us were so impressed and will forever look back at that day with such gratitude and happiness. I highly recommend him!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I prefer we agree on a single, all inclusive price. Otherwise, there is an undercurrent to stress that impairs our teamwork. And I can be flexible with cause on price. I want to be as enthusiastic about devoting 100 percent effort to your ceremony, and you should be 100 percent welcoming of my joining your team in putting together the ceremony you want. On my website, there are my standard rates listed, which will also form a basis for my expectation, but I am very empathetic to genuine needs for price adjustments. But overspending on other parts of your budget -- e.g. the cost of the 1000 candles was $500 more than you had planned is not something that, with respect, should fairly come out of my services, which are not in any way being reduced. The most important think is simple to talk about and be clear and usually followed with a written letter that lays out the unusual terms if agreed on. The bottom line, price should drive this decision for you; value and trust is what should be determinative. That's why open honest communication is key -- which happens also to be good practice for marriage.
