FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer we agree on a single, all inclusive price. Otherwise, there is an undercurrent to stress that impairs our teamwork. And I can be flexible with cause on price. I want to be as enthusiastic about devoting 100 percent effort to your ceremony, and you should be 100 percent welcoming of my joining your team in putting together the ceremony you want. On my website, there are my standard rates listed, which will also form a basis for my expectation, but I am very empathetic to genuine needs for price adjustments. But overspending on other parts of your budget -- e.g. the cost of the 1000 candles was $500 more than you had planned is not something that, with respect, should fairly come out of my services, which are not in any way being reduced. The most important think is simple to talk about and be clear and usually followed with a written letter that lays out the unusual terms if agreed on. The bottom line, price should drive this decision for you; value and trust is what should be determinative. That's why open honest communication is key -- which happens also to be good practice for marriage.
