FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common types of jobs are proposal support and business branding. With proposal support I assist clients in responding to government or private sector requests for proposals (RFP's) and requests for quotes (RFQ's). This entails writing about their company and the services they provide and how they can specifically meet the clients needs. With business branding I work with clients on creating marketing material - including logo's, pamphlets, letterhead, etc. - that best showcases their business in their particular field.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Understand that we are working just as hard if not harder. There is a lot of pressure in this business to help businesses succeed. Therefore my advice is to go in with realistic expectations and grow them as we build our business relationship.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
If I was a new customer to the field I wish I knew how long the process actually takes. A lot of new businesses looking to get government work or market their products tend to underestimate how long success will actually take. Nothing happens overnight and I do not promise overnight success. I always make that clear to new customers so that there is no fantasy of overnight success. As a new customer I would want to know this upfront. I always make that clear and work hard to make dreams become a reality. Success may not happen overnight but it will happen shortly after we start working together.
