I am very please with Mr. Lopes. He was prepared with a contract with all we discussed for the job. He was personable and respectful. I loved that he kept in touch with me and his scheduling was flexible. The work was completed in less time based on the estimated days.

We reached out to Ewerton to repair our deck that needed some structural work and beautification. I was a bit worried when we hired Ewerton that he only had one review because he just started using Thumbtack. WORRY NOT! HE IS AN ABSOLUTE SUPERSTAR! Not only a great carpenter, but a STELLAR human being. What made us choose him vice others was his very competitive pricing but also his transparent quotes! He tells you how much each project costs and the what the costs actually are instead of a blanket quote with no real explanation. He is so good we are already working with him on two other additions to the work. A gem on thumbtack! Look no further! We will post photos asap!

Details: Repair one or few decking boards • Repair significant wood rot or water damage • Application of finishes (sanding, staining, painting) • Repair minor cracks, gaps, or holes • Wood • Residential

I highly recommend Ewerton's services. He installed shelves in my small bedroom, laundry room and pantry, making my house feel more spacious. He is very professional, attentive and his price is affordable. Good job. Thank you!

Ewerton is polite, but he doesn't speak much English. He was helpful to us regarding handyman work. Completed it well and quickly. But we paid him well too. He installed luxury vinyl flooring in a space less than 90 square feet, but it took him four days to complete with me supplying flooring. He wasted my time by convincing me he could find the same flooring at Home Depot, which was being offered to me by another business at a discount, but Home Depot didn't sell Armstrong in the store. He completed the flooring. It looks good, but he never covered the part of the room that had furnishings in it nor the carpeting. The furnishings and art work got dusty with white powder. He cleaned it up afterwards, but forgot the baseboard. I explained he needed drop cloths and he went to the store to get some before he finished the job. He also said he'd install floor molding like the rest of my apartment, but he never did it. Regarding the big project, the book shelves, honestly he is an amateur. I trusted him, but I learned after the fact that he has very little experience doing this kind of job. He charged me $1400 for a book case, 89 x 82 x 12. He told us the wall wasn't straight, but our condo was built in 2019 and surprising to learn that. There are gaps between shelves and the wall. He forgot to install one shelf after working many hours on it, so I told him he could do it next time when he hangs the readymade fp mantel we bought. He installed that well. But the shelf that he cut in our garage was cut unevenly and the areas where he put screws into molding is a shoddy job. Also, he told us he has a shop and would be cutting all the materials there, but instead, he said when he arrived that he had to use our garage to do all the cutting and painting. I allowed it because I wanted the job to be done. In general, I don't think he's a bad person, but he lied to us and charged us quite a bit. The flooring and mantle installations were a total of $575. We also paid him $100 to put together a metal shelf unit for the garage and hang two curtain rods. Finally, we paid him $80 to do a few other handyman jobs. He walked off with our brand new $25 tape measure as well. I'm sure not meaning to, but this guy is very disorganized. I contacted him about my disappointment with the shelves, but he has not responded.
