I made an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. After trying the lower level (basement) entry and receiving no response, I waited in my car for 15minutes then tried again. Still no response. I tried the other doors and received no response at any of them. I tried to call the listed phone number which was answered in an unusual way with lots of "new age" music and a male voice which stated that you had reached a business with a totally different name. I left a message for AQJCAWC. The call was returned 15 minutes stating that his phone died. I did not reschedule my appointment nor will I ever make another one.Aug 27, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We are often asked, what insurance we accept. We wanted to clarify this issue so that potential clients are not confused. We do not accept insurance. We are what is known as an out-of-network provider. That means you are obligated to pay for each session at the time the services are rendered. We will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We strongly encourage you to check with your insurance company, prior to our first meeting. You should ask about how they handle out of network claims and about their reimbursement rates.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? All professionals posses a Master degree or higher and are licensed by the state of Maryland. We periodically invite a Counseling Intern to join us since we believe in supporting those that will become the legacy of our profession.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? When engaging in a professional relationship with a mental/behavioral health professional, although the same is true for any health professional, shop around! Find a professional YOU feel comfortable with. If you don't feel comfortable, if you don't have a connection or you don't feel you received what you needed, don't go back and continue shopping around until you find the right professional. And don't let your insurance company dictate who you should see. Your health is too important to let an insurance company dictate who you can see and how much you should pay. Don't be afraid to ask your counselor/therapist if they offer sliding scale accommodations. A connection with your therapist/counselor is worth more than money can buy. And never forget, your therapist/counselor works for you so don't be afraid to ask them to be accountable.
