Board and train at a facility
I just wrapped up the basic obedience course with my german shepherd mix, and she is a different dog! Chai was aggressive, impulsive, reactive, and terrified of kids. In our evaluation, she was barking and snarling at a stuffed dog in their office. By the end of of the training, she was happily following instructions in a group class of over 10 dogs. The biggest thing we're walking away with is the tools to succeed. I can't recommend Haywood and his staff highly enough, they're worth every penny.May 10, 2018Verified
Haywood is excellent for any training needs. They are very patient, friendly, and caring and always ready to help. My dog pulled constantly on the leash and did not listen well when called. I noticed big differences even after the first lesson. I highly recommend Haywood's serviceApr 11, 2017Verified
We've enjoyed working with Haywood. He can get my dog to do anything! We aren't done with training yet but we are well on the way.May 31, 2016VerifiedAcademy Dog Training by Haywood's reply
Thank you for your response! Looking forward to seeing you at our next lesson!
Dog Training - Board and Train
Mr. Haywood and his dog trainers could not be any nicer. Our Wheaten Terrier is much smarter then we thought she was and is listening to us better then we could have imagined. We have also continued to use their services for boarding when we are away. We have been super happy with the results and on going work.Mar 22, 2017Verified
I had a great experience working with Mr. Haywood he does more than train dogs but the owner as well. My dog Rocko was dog aggressive because of fear. But in less that 3 classes in he was better! He was sitting next to dogs and he has never done that not even as a puppy. This is worth the money and the time. If you do what Mr. Haywood says your dog will come out better!Mar 26, 2015Verified
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Every year I take atleast 20 hours of dog behavioral courses, 10 hours of hands on skills in different training techniques and teach continuing education classes to Pet Professional trainers.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I work with puppies and their owners on Proactive training... preventing problems before they start. Basic and advanced training is result driven, we are constantly building off the success of the previous lesson. You and your dog is my best advertisement.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? When looking for a dog trainer ask questions about their philosophy in training... work with a trainer that not only has a similiar philosophy in teaching and discipline that you have. Also ask about their experience in the field of training and teaching, because the best dog trainer might not be able to teach you how to train your dog.
