Introduction: ~Lily Riva M.P.H./Washington DC Metro~ Ultimately we are here to help you find joy and equanimity. We provide help before, during and after your psychiatric and psychological therapy. We also serve as a practical alternative to therapy. Call us directly or reach out to us through your therapist or loved one. We help you: -manage the stress, anxiety and depression that too often accompany our fast paced society -implement your therapy plan -accomplish life goals -move beyond the conditions and life transitions that have you stuck Our services get you healthier, faster than therapy alone. We keep you from escalating to anxiety attacks, stress paralysis or even intensive outpatient programs. We are patient, empathetic, caring and always guided by those we serve. We are absolutely unique. Have you ever heard of anyone providing health services that hold you accountable to the goals you have set in therapy or on your own? Someone you can call 24/7 to implement mindfulness skills learned in DBT? Someone who provides hands-on help to navigate the bureaucracy of a school or large company? Someone that can work as a partner with your psychiatrist and psychologist to complete your circle of care. Only Care Partners provides this level of attention. Our practice is focused on people with general anxiety, OCD, depression, hoarding disorder, ADHD, complicated grief, and anyone in need of broadening their mental health support system. We offer a half hour free consultation so you can decide whether we are the right fit for you. We also provide in-home services for those in the Washington DC metropolitan area. This has been especially beneficial to patients with depression, OCD and anxiety that prevents them from leaving the home. We have also been successful providing support to patients with hoarding disorder who wish to maintain their positive behaviors once therapy is complete.

Lily has a gift for connecting with others and a patience I wish I had! She is a great asset to professionals, and those in general, who need extra support outside the therapy office. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Lily continues to be an excellent resource. Speaking as a professional with 20+ years as a psychiatrist, I highly recommend her. She has an approach that is effective and motivates patients. She helps them improve their lives in practical ways that go beyond what I can do in during office visits.

Lilly is a kind and compassionate person. She helped encourage me to see what was wrong and showed me practical ways to address the complications that my illness (I’m bipolar) had brought to my life. One of her best characteristics is her patience. If I wasn’t ready for something - even if she thought that I was - she didn’t browbeat me or make me feel badly about myself. She just kept encouraging me in different ways - until I was ready. She is a good listener - she REALLY listens, and she has a wonderful sense of humor. I recommend her unreservedly.

Thank you so much Katha. I so enjoy our work together. We only needed to make small adjustments, you were much further along than you realized!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Everything I do is customized. I like to start with the client and then contact their clinicians to coordinate a care plan.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started in this work through the help of clinicians who requested my assistance with a depressed teen and her family. I was able to work with them to understand what was needed to support her beyond her therapy. She needed someone to check in with her a few days a week, to assess her health and ask tough questions about self-harm and eating behaviors. Her behaviors required follow-up that her psychiatrist and psychologist asked me to provide. With all three pieces in place she was able to avoid hospitalization or intensive outpatient care.
