- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything I do is customized. I like to start with the client and then contact their clinicians to coordinate a care plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this work through the help of clinicians who requested my assistance with a depressed teen and her family. I was able to work with them to understand what was needed to support her beyond her therapy. She needed someone to check in with her a few days a week, to assess her health and ask tough questions about self-harm and eating behaviors. Her behaviors required follow-up that her psychiatrist and psychologist asked me to provide. With all three pieces in place she was able to avoid hospitalization or intensive outpatient care.
