Laura and her team were exceptional to work with! From design to install, Laura was hands on the entire way, ensuring everything was done right. She took my vision and brought it to life! As a recent college graduate, I didn’t think hiring an interior designer would be the right fit for me. I was sure there was no way I could afford it! After talking to Laura at Cornerstone, I was shocked to find that I actually could find great pieces within my price point because Cornerstone Design works with a number of suppliers, catering to every budget. Laura and the rest of the Cornerstone team turned my small, dark apartment into a place that feels like home! I would highly recommend their services and will absolutely be using them again when we are ready to move.

I worked with Laura Meck from Cornerstone to spruce up the first floor of my Baltimore row house. I can assure you I was little to no help - I couldn't tell you what I like, but I know what I don't like. Laura, was patient and showed me multiple options - quickly honing in on pieces that appealed to me. She made the process simple and seamless. Taking care to make sure new pieces tied together with older pieces and area carpets. The results were nothing short of spectacular. I couldn't be any happier with the way everything turned out. Not only that, after I had ordered the furniture the manufacturer applied some discounts - Laura could easily have taken those herself and mentioned nothing to me. But she told me to hold off on writing a check and made sure I received the discount. That sort of honesty will surely have me going back to Laura for my next project. Thanks Cornerstone and Laura!!!

My business partner and I hired Laura Meck / Cornerstone Design Partners when we opened our new office in Westminster, Maryland. We serve a variety of clients, as wealth management professionals and wanted to set our office to be inviting but also portray us as professional also. We had a fixed budget and needed to furnish our reception area, conference room and private office space(s). Laura is a consummate professional who took our vision and turned the empty space into an inviting place for our clients and employees. She went above and beyond our thoughts to create a showcase office that the landlord has used many times to show new possible tenants. Our reception area required furnishings, accessories, refreshment bar and window treatments. Our conference room needed accessories and window treatments and the private office space required layout for function and aesthetics, as well as accessories and window treatments. Laura’s creativity and design acumen transformed our space from a cookie cutter commercial layout to a custom designed office that continues to meet our needs today. Laura’s creativity and out of the box thinking delivered even more than what we were hoping for. Laura and her team are committed to their projects and eager to please their clients. I highly recommend them for any design work you would need.

When we opened our youth center, we were at a loss in deciding how we wanted to lay out the space. We needed administrative offices, space for homework, and open space to conduct Restorative Circles with our youth participants. We hired Cornerstone Design to help guide us in the right direction and it was the best decision we could have made! Laura came out to the center and we walked her through our vision. She quickly understood our needs and brought the space to life in no time! The building we have used to be a dental office and took a lot of love to become a youth center, but Laura jumped right in and remained hands on through out the whole process. I had a difficult time picturing how things would look as she described them but was thrilled to see her 3D model design online before implementation. Laura took a dark and dingy space and made it so inviting for our children and families.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Initial consultation (about an hour) is always complimentary. Pricing for staging (using your furnishings) is billable at $150 per hour. Interior design service pricing varies. If you go through us for products and other services, we do not charge for our design service. We have over 130 suppliers to meet your style and budget needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our initial consultation will help identify your project needs, style and budget. Our designer will then prepare a design, present it to you and options that our suppliers offer. Our team will place the order, handle logistics, and manage the install and revel day. We always keep in mind YOUR style and YOUR budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our designers are certified and participate in weekly / monthly on-going training to keep up with design trends and industry best practices.
