Introduction: Basic principles of vocal technique are simple and finite, but individual voice instructors are not. We all have our own approaches to achieving results, so I won't travel the comparison road. I will simply say that I care about safety, truth in assessments, longevity of the voice, and quality of performance. I am willing to be flexible to help my students achieve their best potential. I believe in working efficiently to achieve maximum effect.
The best thing about my job is that it isn't a job. Honestly, training my own voice and preparing to specialize in vocal training and performance was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Yet working with others and helping them discover the gifts they have inside is challenging, exciting, and energizing. It's a progressive relationship that leaves all parties richly rewarded in the end. No job I've ever had can make that claim.
