I've worked for Jennifer, who was the Writing Studio Director at my college, and she also has helped me with my writing on a professional level. Jennifer is excellent at relaying how each person can maximize learning. She is very clear, but also very friendly with her guidance. When working with college students, Jennifer is able to help them break assignments down into easily digestible tasks and suggest edits (some that are significant and some that are minor) with ease and confidence. She tends to use a guiding method of asking questions and allowing you to find the answer. She is astute when it comes to ascertaining whether or not a student already knows an answer. If they do know it and just can't "see" it - she helps lead them to it. If they don't, she helps them find ways to research and remedy that issue, which build their confidence as a writer and a person. Overall, Jennifer is an incredibly passionate and positive professional. I highly recommend her for any sort of writing, editing or mentoring opportunity.

Ryan Mercik patiently and meticulously edited through reams of my Dad's 8mm film footage from the 1950s and 60s, transforming them into a DVD set of precious memories. She magically corrected color and light as she worked, often saving impossibly dark or blown-out sequences. Ryan also added fun music, appropriate to the times; and packaged the DVDs with still photos clipped from the film. I can't say enough about Ryan's expertise with this media. Her instincts are spot on. My whole family is grateful that she rescued our deteriorating films and gave us a gift from our childhood that has us doubled over in laughter, as well as in tears.
