FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies on hourly time commitment as well as desired end-product. I typically base my rate off of location and duration of shoot desired. For every hour of shooting there are many hours of editing that go into the product I provide. My rates begin at $250 per 60 minute session for an individual client (portrait, professional headshot, or creative modeling session). For couples, rates begin around $300 per 60-90 minute session, which is related to the increase in number of photos as well as editing time and touch ups. Additional fees may apply for long distances traveled or for any additional requests for editing beyond the standard edits, however I will never add fees without discussing them upfront with a client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer I first like to hear about their vision for the end-product. Depending on what type of session they're looking for, I like to ask questions about which style of shooting they prefer (staged portrait vs. candid) as well as what features they hope will be emphasized in the finished product. At the end of the day you're hiring me to serve you - so I want to meet your expectations and possibly even exceed them!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Photography has been a hobby of mine since a teenager, and a secondary source of income since my senior year of High School. In addition to photography, I picked up being a second-shooter with professionals in the industry during college, shooting weddings and large corporate events. I have extensive experience with couples sessions, individual professional headshot, and have done a number of still-life marketing shoots as well. My favorite sessions are engagements, family sessions, and weddings.
