Introduction: NOT YOUR TYPICAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER That's me, Peter. I'm the lead photographer and cinematographer at P.S. Photography. So what makes me "not your typical wedding photographer" you ask? Well thank you for asking, I was hoping you would! I started my professional career as an award winning film director. I did documentary as well as commercial work for some of the biggest names in entertainment and business. A hallmark of my work has always been that it is rooted in story. I think that a good photograph will tell a story, capturing a moment that seems connected to a larger emotion. Now I'm leading an experienced team of photographers and cinematographers, taking that same passion for story to every wedding that we are a part of. Check out my website: peterscheibner.com I enjoy working with Brides to tell their story, from the engagement shoot to the wedding.

This review is from the mother of the bride's perspective. I first noticed his attention to details...things like noticing the entrance of the couple and what was in the background. He has a good eye for what makes a stand out photo. He is personable and thinks about most everything concerning your pictures and a smooth running wedding. He even helps keep your wedding on cue. He is an excellent estimator of the time it takes to get the photos you would like. He is fast, efficient and even witty in handling the big family photos! You can tell he has much experience with this. You feel in good hands with Peter! And most importantly...you have beautiful pictures which capture the memories of your special day!! Thanks Peter for the all the special photo's we will cherish forever!!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When we work together, I view it as my job to try to tell your story. That means that when you watch a video that I've produced, or view a photo from the day, it should capture more than just the surroundings, but also the emotion. My process from start to finish revolves around getting to know you, and effectively tell your story.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BS is Cinema and Film Production, as well as over 10 years of professional film production experience working as a Director and Cinematographer. My commercial work includes commercials shot for Papa Johns, Duke University, Maine Office of Tourism, as well as feature films and documentaries.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began doing weddings as a side gig about 10 years ago. As I began phasing out of full time production work, I began focusing on photography and wedding films about 2 years ago.
