With that said here are some of the services we offer: Hoarding situations: Hoarding Michigan is very concerned with hoarding. It is a terrible disease and situation to be in. We are here to stand with you and work through your situation. We will come out and do an assessment of the project, talk with you about your goals and set a path to bring you success in your life. Every situation is different and we are here to help. We are a one-stop place to help you work through your project. Decluttering Small-Scale and Whole-Home Projects: This is a service where the client is or is not at the job site. Maybe they just want to rid their home of things or it may be a situation where the client has moved to a different location and need their previous home cleaned out to make it ready for sale. We come out to the site to give you an honest assessment of how much the cost will be. Organizing Situations: Hoarding Michigan will come out and help you organize whatever you need help with. We start with a base price and if more time is needed we will come up with a flat rate to help you finish your project. We will then steer you on the right path to help you stay organized with the various options we have. Please let us help you. You need to control your home, not your home controlling you.

Don and the crew were amazing, absolute godsends. I expected the job to take at least 4 hours, and they were finished in 2. They really care about their clients, and they do a great job at making you feel comfortable rather than embarrassed. I couldn't be more impressed or thankful. I hired a crew of two to help me pack up my apartment. They were on time, motivated to work and direct. Stephanie was one of the team members that I’d hire for any task, any where with anyone. She absolutely worked her tail off in a methodical, organized, peaceful manner. I had a craft space that needed to be packed up. A box remained opened and a picture of it is attached to show you her excellent work. Within no time, she had all these bins, lifts, organizers that were all over the place packed neatly in a box. This type of beauty is why professionals exist. She also listened to my needs and helped alleviate tense situations. Stephanie problem solves on the spot and is truly so talented. A gymnast and a swimmer - her strength and agility almost outmatch her wits. A true ace.

I moved into a new house and I needed to purge items from my garage. HMOS came in within 5 days at my request in January, to help me go through all of the items and sort them into groups of keep, donate, and trash. I am currently using a walker, and the staff facilitated me in accomplishing this task. They were finished with cleaning, organizing and disposal in about 5 hours, much less time than I ever thought it would be done. My car is now in the garage with plenty of room to use my walker around it. Thank you Don, Scott and staff for all of your help in reaching the goal in a very timely basis.

I had contacted Don regarding an organization system that I needed installed. He was very prompt with getting me the quotation. I did not initially hire him however; when the contractor that I did hire decided to cancel the morning of the scheduled work date I called Don. He was very helpful and was able to get a contractor to my location within 3 hours. The work was completed that day and it looked great! The contractor, Scott, was very professional. Cleaned up after himself and was very respectful of working in my home. I can not say how grateful I am that Don was able to step in at such short notice and have the job done. Thank you!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is kind of difficult until we see the actual project at hand. The basic organization is $ 75 an hour per organizer, which usually leads to something more. Home cleanouts normally start at $2800.0p and comprehensive hoarding cleanouts are priced based on project and need.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In working with a new client, I want to understand what is going on in their life. Maybe it is just an organizing situation, or maybe wanting to rid themselves of a bunch of discards they do not want anymore. We also work with hoarding clients where I try to get to the root of the problem.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the helps business all of my life. Usually people wouldn't want to come to me because I have never worked in anything that you want; it is what you need. I worked as an aftercare counselor and preplanning in the funeral business which was the most rewarding job of my life.
