Introduction: I have been a piano teacher for over 13 years, and I love working with adults and kids of all ages and all abilities! I strive to provide affordable and professional piano instruction while creating a fun and relaxed learning environment. Students will learn how to sight-read from written music and play from the chord approach as well. My main lesson objectives will center around teaching the student to fluently read "the language of music" and know basic principles of music theory.
Aside from classical music, I explore other music genres, including pop, jazz, hymns, praise and worship music, movie themes, and anything else the student expresses an interest in learning.
I currently teach in my hometown of Buchanan, MI and drive to teach students around Southwest Michigan. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, and I am also a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Currently, I run a very full studio of approximately 50 students ages 6-60.
Aside from piano instruction, I am also available to play the piano for weddings, special events, parties and restaurants (see my website for more details).
