A discount is offered for groups of 3+ people, when the course is taken together on the same day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in healthcare for over 10 years. I first completed training in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician and then became a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. After 7 years of working in different specialty doctor offices, I was encouraged to become an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid instructor.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been in healthcare for over 10 years. I love what I do and I love being able to help train others what to do when faced with a real life emergency, no matter if you are in healthcare or not. I have a passion for working with people and making sure that you feel confident to ACT FAST when real life emergencies occur. I also offer renewals for those who have a current AHA BLS for healthcare providers certification. This is my passion as well as my full time career and I offer classes as much as possible for my students. Since I was a child, I have always had a passion for helping others. My mother, who is also an AHA instructor (24+ years) with another ACT FAST location in Illinois, who is in the medical field herself, as well as a teacher for different medical professions, has always encouraged me to be my best and to help others be their best as well. My goal is to make sure you have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to help ACT FAST and save a life, if and when needed.
