Bridal styling services
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I don't operate on trend, but instead upon the universal laws of aesthetic beauty and intrigue. Shape/proportion of the silhouette (and of patterns if applicable), visual lines/angles/curvature, textural components to visual depth/volume, coordination of multiple color tones/levels of saturation... these are are variables which we can manipulate in order to achieve optimal results. So many stylists on television and magazines begin by saying how popular this or that is, whereas I often find myself saying this, only in the instance that I have nothing better to say about it. It is my aim to inspire thoughtful intrigue in others, captivating them in aesthetic wonderment. This is that which gets you noticed from across the room, that which evokes "oooh I love this! where did you get it!?", that which elicits a glare from that "b*tch at work" followed by the subtle sweet taste of their envy. Firstly, the gratification of seeing people feel good about themselves, especially if that feeling is not often experienced. I love working with people, and helping them find the smile they've been hiding from themselves is invaluable to me. Being able to see and experience that transformation is second to none. Alternatively, when the project at hand has greater focus on design, I enjoy the artistic expression of self through clothing. Even better are the instances in which this expression is collaborative, getting to experience and help create an expression that is not my own. It allows me to be outside of self, which offers its own enlightenment.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

...a complexity is simply a sum of several simplicities. ^_~ Pricing is as such: 1. Consultation fee* (one-time) - $50 2. Commissioned percentage of each purchased amount (in merchandise) which is acquired while in company - 15% up to $500, less 1% for each subsequent $200, minimum 10% (ie. $500-$700 at 14%, $700-$900 at 13%, etc.) * N.B. the consultation fee may, at the time of completion of services rendered, be reduced/waived upon client's agreement to my request for the inclusion & permitted use of photography (taken during the time of services rendered) within a professional portfolio, not exclusive of use for advertisement purposes.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Being true to myself was ultimately what led me to this point. Growing up an only child, there were plenty of expectations put on me, especially in regards to my career. It was never considered by my family that I would be anything other than some business professional, and I believed it as well throughout my undergraduate. A few years ago I decided to pursue a passion I've held since time prior to adolescence, regardless of its practicality or economic advantages. I have since been devoted to developing my artistic self and utilizing a natural charisma to share with others the genuine love and confidence within myself.
