Nick G. says, "Had an issue with the Boiler pilot light not being lit. Never owned a boiler before, so I didn’t know that I prob just needed to grab a lighter and brush off the thermocouple and re-light the pilot by holding the flame to heat the part up before the system kicks on. Dallas, our Technician, was able to answer all my questions about my specific setup that google was unable to answer (my system is very old with DIY plumbing that zigzaggs and instructions that seemed backwards) As I pointed out parts of the boiler system, he was able to explain what they were and their functions. After relighting the pilot and waiting to make sure it was working as expected he was able to assure me that the boiler was working properly. Dallas also recommended a bucket catch for the discharge since my drain was a good 30ft away, sloping but on the other side of the basement (hoping that I wouldn’t need it, but just in case it was good to have).
