- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are many things to be looked at when selecting a contractor: track record, solvency, health & safety record, staff welfare, affiliations, etc, and many other valid points. My experience with tendering contractors would highlight the following preferred qualities: 1. Experience and Suitability Simply put, a contractor experienced in house extensions wouldn't be suited to a commercial office building, to entertain such would inevitably lead to problems in several areas of a project. 2. Keaness and a Team Player At the end of the day a contractor has to want to do the work and not treat it as an infill project or something to keep them busy, wanting to work with others will move the project forward and procure a better building. 3. Flexibility and Adapability As already noted schemes change & problems arise, a good contractor will have to deal successfully with these issues and work with others to keep the project on track.
