- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Going to our website is the best way to see our current offerings. We provide packages for our services. No event is cookie cutter so we taylor our contracts to what you need. We work with payment plans to lessen the stress of a large hit to the bank account.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?After the initial meeting with a client, we scope out what things that are needed from me. I am always available via phone, email and text messages. I try to be supportive of the client and be there when they need me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I try to read and am active on a number of message boards in the wedding field. Education is the only way to stay current on trends in the business. I sat for my International Certified Meeting Professional exam in 2006 and renew that certification every 5 years. Certified Meeting Professional credentials require that you have five years of event planning experience and a 6 month study class to sit for the International Exam. This certification is from the Event Industry Council. This certification requires 25 hours of education to renew every 5 years. I have recently completed training with the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau as a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the city of Lansing and also have my Government Meeting Specialist certification through the Society of Government Meeting Planners. My next challenge is to work on my Master Wedding consultant certification through the Association of Bridal Consultants.
