Brown Brother's Construction
About this pro
I had Doug come out and replace several broken window cement window sills with limestone, along with some minor tuck pointing around the house. They did a great job, punctual, stayed true to the quote, and the turn around time was great. I will definitely be using these guys again. Highly recommend.Jun 7, 2018Verified
His company did an excellent job repairing my grandmother's stairs She lives in Detroit and has a fixed income and I'm in Cincinnati and had to handle everything by phone. He did the job in 1 day and sent before and after pictures. We were very pleased with the results.Apr 14, 2018Verified
Before Doug--I acquired a really nice two family flat off the tax auction. It needed some work and I was prepared to get it done. Unfortunately, I was scammed by someone who said they could do the tuck pointing on loose brick, install security doors, and even fix a collapsed cement porch. Let me start by saying that Doug is awesome!!! First, I needed him to clean up brickwork nightmare that this so called contractor (not from Thumbtack) performed. This contractor cut and chisled into my brickwork and left gaping holes in my property. See before- Doug pictures. Here is where Superman Doug comes in. I contacted him on Thumbtack and we soon met so he could look at the disaster I was left with. I was so distressed by how'd I'd been taken advantage of and left with a mess that I was having nightmares with my eyes wide open and shut. I explained to Doug what happened and he assured me that all would be well. He apologized several times for the mess the other guy left me with. He came out exactly when he said he would and delivered beyond my expectations. He answered all my questions and wanted me to feel totally comfortable with his answers. He encouraged questions. I admit, on the day of the work (Saturday, September 2, 2017) my representative was late (I had to work, I couldn't be there) but Doug and brother were so kind about it. Wow! When I got off work Doug and brother were still working. As promised he finished in one day. My beautiful two family flat looks so so good. The brick work that Doug did looks better than the original brick work. Did I mention that he even did extra things like the left side of the house filling in the gaps to make sure no water could get in and cause more damage in the winter. I am so happy. He did such a good job that who cares about the scammer who did horrible and unfinished work before him. It was a hard and expensive lesson. I should have come to Thumbtack first. The scammer also cut into my brickwork to install a side security door. Can you believe that!!?? NO WORRIES because Doug is coming back out this week after new security door installation to put the angle iron back in and rebrick where it was cut to make it look like new again. I'm done crying because Doug made me believe again. There are true professionals out there who really do know what they are doing , care about customer satisfaction, are worth every dime they quote you , and are happy to do the work. Thumbtack has the professionals and from now on this is where I'm coming to find my contractors for any work on my rentals. Thank you Doug and brother for your honesty, integrity, professionalism, and punctuality. I'm going to Doug and his brother for all of my brickwork and cement work in the future--porch, driveway, etc. I even recommended Doug to my sisters and mom. They own a few rental properties too. If I were you, I wouldn't waste any more money on someone who thinks they can fix brick work. I'd contact Doug a real masonry skilled tradesman-- not someone practicing or pretending to be a masonry skilled tradesman! I'm sooooo happy I did! I had a video but couldn't figure out how t o put it on here. Take a look at my before and after pictures. Markita M.Sep 5, 2017Verified
