FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to study on a daily basis. I read every book and view every video I can get my hands on. I also attend classes and workshops and private lessons throughout the year to learn all of the newest teaching techniques. I am a member of many prestigious music organizations that offer continuing education as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew from an early age that I would be a musician. I started voice an piano lessons at age 11 and performed at every opportunity before graduating from high school. I went on to study voice and piano at Westminster Choir College and Marygrove College where I taught in a community education outreach program and realized I loved teaching private voice and piano. That was it. I was hooked!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach the basics to students new to voice and piano lessons as well as preparing more advanced students for college music programs. I am often called upon to work through vocal issues with seasoned performers as well. I also provide audition prep for local to Broadway musical theatre, opera and choir. Whatever a student needs, I am here to provide.
