Alec does so well with my daughter. She sometimes likes to try and do her own thing and instead of pushing her to always focus, which isn't always an easy task for a child, he'll at times encourage her free play to get it out and then she's back to wanting to learn. She very much enjoys going because he makes it a fun learning experience. She sounds better each time going so the improvement is astounding. I really appreciate how good Alec is with her and I've already recommended this place to friends based simply on how incredible he is.Apr 2, 2018Verified
They were prompt in filling me in on pricing, times, etc, yet not pushy and let me set up times when I was ready.Dec 14, 2014Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work? When I was 11 years old, I got my first guitar. Within six months, I told my mom this was what I was going to do for the rest of my life. I'm 35 now, and obviously didn't lie! ;) This is the environment I wish I had growing up. It's seriously talented musicians helping out everyone from absolute beginner to extremely advanced. Students get to see and hear a wide variety of music and styles, players, and basically be inundated with examples, instruction, and proof of what they can achieve with practice and effort.
- What types of customers have you worked with?We initially focus on individual lessons- guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice. As quickly as possible though, we create a situation where our students USE what they learn- whether it's playing with one other student, a full band, or just music on the computer. It does little to no good to just learn about something. You need to be able to use it as well. (You'd be pretty disappointed if all the baseball team ever did was practice, but never played a game.) We've had awesome results with kids as young as six making actual music their first lesson with others. We can work with advanced musicians as well. If somebody already plays, we have a fantastic team of musicians who can play along with them and provide suggestions on how to improve even more. AND. . don't forget video and audio recording!
