Leonard was a professional and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs a home inspection. Very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Went the extra mile, super fast turnaroundon results and very clear report!
I'm a first-time home buyer, and knew little about the process. I needed a home inspection, and didn't know where to turn. Searching around the area, I stumbled on Thumbtack and put in a request. I was answered less than five minutes later by CCNCO. Soon, I was on a conference call with Cindy and Chris Archambeau. They were friendly and patient and answered all of my questions. As the day of the inspection neared, I was nervous and had many more questions and called and texted them a lot. Chris and Cindy answered them all and put me at ease. They never made me feel like I was bugging them (even though I know I was!) The day of the inspection came. Chris showed up on time and cheerful, despite the fairly long drive to get to my new house. And what a house! 2600 square feet, built in the 1880s! The romance of the old house was in full bloom. I wanted to get a good deal on the house, and was hoping Chris could find some things I could bargain with. He was thorough, careful, and very exacting in his inspection. He found hundreds of flaws, many of them major and expensive. He went up on the roof, down in the crawlspace, up in the attic. He found infestations of mice and bats. He explained why the foundation of the house was rotten. He poked and prodded and nitpicked. He wrung every bit of information, every secret out of that old place for two solid hours. All the while, he put up with me nervously hovering around, asking a million questions. I soon calmed, though, thanks to Chris's calming and cheerful demeanor. I couldn't help but feel like it was him buying the house for himself and his family, so carefully and thoroughly did he inspect it. And... Chris might have literally saved my life and the life of my wife. He uncovered a very unsafe condition with the water heater and the construction of the house that could have led to a fire at any time. In the end, we learned that our "dream house" would require about $30K - $50K of repairs to make it safe and liveable. Chris saved us from a very expensive mistake. I cannot recommend CCNCO highly enough. They proudly say they're not affiliated with any of the real estate companies- and no wonder! If I was a realtor, I'd tremble to see Chris appear at the doorstep. If you want the toughest, most thorough home inspection money can buy (oh... and guess what? Their rates are very, VERY reasonable!) then contact CCNCO!
Responded ASAP and came out and inspected withing 48 hours followed up promptly by a detailed written report. Thanks Kevin !
We had Randy conduct a home inspection for a property we were looking to purchase. He was very thorough and helpful. Further, he provided annotated photos of problem areas that we were able to use later.
We had a home inspection done and the whole process went very smoothly, the appointment was quick, he found a few things that the seller has agreed to repair and even showed us in depth of other things to keep an eye out for. Would definitely recommend for my friends and family!
I happened to notice water dripping down from my basement wall whenever I washed clothes and also an odd smell in the and around the kitchen and washing machine. Thumbtack was advertising their on my local weather channel, so I put my quote request on the website. Avery Construction responded and came to my home to check things out. It turned out to be a water line leak from a failed solder joint. They replaced the old leaking copper water pipes with PEX tubing with excellent results. Avery Construction also discovered mold growing in the basement. They treated it with a bleach solution and installed a dehumidifier to control the moisture in the air. The basement feels drier and smells much better. I was pleased with their work so I had them remodel my kitchen and rebuild my existing wobbly deck. They had this great idea of installing solar power light on the rail posts (see photos). They also painted the fascia, soffit, repaired rotten trim around an exterior door and saved me from another year of birds nesting in my gutters by removing poorly installed gutter guards. They also cleaned and painted the gutters and downspouts. I was very happy with the house repairs and renovations Avery Construction performed and would recommend them for any construction project you may have. I would certainly have them do a job at my home again.
We hired Paul to do yard work, deck painting, flooding prevention, and all kinds of other things. He is very nice and able to do a lot of different things. He really knows how to do things right and isn't one of those people who sits there and tells you why he can't do something (we've had bad past experiences with this). The thing I love most is that he'll explain everything to you and you never feel stupid asking questions. He is also very trustworthy. The only thing we wondered about is that several times wouldn't show up when he said he was going to, and so we'd be in the awkward position of having to check in and ask him why he wasn't there. But, he's so great in other ways that we wouldn't hesitate to hire him again anyway.
Jay at Up Close is an awesome Inspector! Up Close Home Inspection is the type of company that will never need to advertise. Once you use it, you will recommend it to everyone you know. Everybody who ever mentions to me that they're interested in buying a house (and maybe some who don't) are going to get an earful from me about Jay Latzman. He is professional, punctual, honest, likeable, and truly great at what he does. These days, when it's rare to find someone who takes great pride in their work, meeting someone like Jay is refreshing. I am maybe the most irritating type of person to deal with in a home purchase because I've never purchased a home and I have close to zero knowledge about them, but I'm risk-averse and a lawyer so I'm convinced that everyone has an angle and it is out to fool me. So basically I want to hear every last detail even though I have no idea what anyone is talking about. Yet, Jay was incredibly patient and the house inspection was honestly FUN, even the part where Jay went into the attic on a 100F degree afternoon! (I wouldn't have done it but Jay has no reservations at all about climbing right in.) He is as good at communication as he is at home inspection - I think both are equally important at this job. He picked up pretty early that neither of us had a clue about homes, so he adjusted his level of explanation accordingly. We learned a lot, not just about the house in question but about homes and home maintenance in general. You can tell that Jay is passionate and enthusiastic about his work. His impressive work ethic is something you just don't see these days anymore. There was no need for the seller of the home to put his older dog outside either as Jay was happy to pet the old boy and clearly loves animals! How could you not love Jay?? Some tips: 1) You can reach him by email, voicemail, or text. I'm crazy, so I did all three, but he seems equally responsive to each. 2) I think the BuildFax Report I got from Jay was well worth choosing Jay just for that! What an amazing insight into how much my home was actually renovated and how much money was spent! Not to mention, I know who the contractors were that did the remodeling and when they did it as well. 3) He sends you a an email with an attached PDF to view your inspection report, which you can save and keep or print out if you like. He also gives you an envelope with his card and the inspection agreement so everything is nice and neat, kept in one place with the paperwork for my home.
Shawn has provided me with exceptional service from his Home Inspection Company. Always on time and leaving me with satisfied customers!!!
I met with Vince more times than I would like to admit to inspect several different homes. He was nothing but professional and amazing at his job. He informed me of the big issues as well as the smallest of issues. I would recommend Visual Pro Home Inspections to anyone purchasing a house.
I gave Greg a siding job and a small gutter repair job. He came out when he said he would, quoted the job, communicated what he would do and left the estimate in the mailbox. He was not the cheapest, but i went with him because of the fact that he understood what i wanted. and how i wanted it. he did a good job. I will hire him again for the next house that needs siding.
