Introduction: I am based in Ormond Beach, FL. For 15 years, I was employed at Kettering University, heading up the creative in the marketing department. There, I was in charge of all photo shoots, either by shooting images myself, or by directing professional photo shoots. My interest in photography began in elementary school when I was handed the family Brownie Hawkeye. In junior high, I never left home without my polaroid. By high school, I had landed a job shooting baby portraits at the local JC Penney, and from there, I became a school photographer. Finally realizing how my hobby had become a true passion, I went to school for advertising design and obtained a minor in photography. My favorite is to shoot outdoors in natural lighting - capturing a child, couple or family in their true essence. Although based in Ormond Beach - I am in Central Florida often (Leesburg area) and will shoot in that area as well.

Cathy has an incredible eye for the moment. Her work is not canned or stiff, yet what she captures is compelling and stirring. I have watched her work on many occasions; I have never seen her force a pose. Somehow she just sees the opportunity and, SNAP, its preserved for life. As her portfolio demonstrates, she seizes each moment, whether still life or portrait, and creates beautiful images that stir the spirit and delight the eye. One final note, Cathy works with a special method to take a photograph and turn it into what looks like a painting. I have never seen it before, but if you're looking for something truly special, she's your girl. We have one of her sunsets displayed on our wall with dozens of other professional works and its usually the first thing people notice.

Cathy is an extremely talented artist and photographer! She did a fantastic job working with my son for Christmas pictures, who at the time was 10 months old. She was very patient with him, and let him get up and run around in between shots. I really loved that she moved around a lot too, trying to get different angles. I also loved that the turn around time wasn't very long at all! I would definitely recommend her!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Payment due at photo shoot. Turnaround time is 5 - 7 days for finished product.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I love shooting people in their natural surroundings, doing what they love in a more candid shot. If that's playing music, enjoying company of friends or family, interacting with a favorite pet, or even involved in a hobby or work. I also love shooting outdoors with natural lighting. Late afternoon, early evenings or mid morning are best for achieving the most beautiful skin tones.
