Specific air testing required
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I offer the most advanced infrared and Indoor Air Quality testing as part of my general inspection. No extra charges. No hidden costs. Everything we do is available for review. Inspections are often delivered the same day and are guaranteed with 24 hours. I am a fully licensed general contractor, Certified EPA lead renovator, certified Mold and Radon Inspector, and carry affiliations with InterNACHI (National Association of Certified Home Inspectors), the Better Business Bureau and ICA2 indoor air quality consultants. I have also been fortunate enough to train with the Building Performance Institute where houses as a system are taught and have worked with the State of Michigan as an Energy Auditor. I carry INCAA accreditation for weatherization services and can help ensure you're not wasting your money on energy. Furthermore, every report includes solutions to the problems found, diagrams to help explain the issue or resolution and infrared images to cleary show proper functionality or defect. Every inspection tests indoor air quality for formaldehyde, VOCs, Carbon Monoxide and constantly measures temperature and humidity to ensure the results are accurate. Radon sampling is available as well, with results in 48 hours as on site, currently calibrated equipment is brought in to measure and report. No labs and no delays. Even if you're purchasing an older home, rest assured, I can even scope the sewer lines up to 200 feet, offer fully certified well and septic services and provide a complete list of trusted contractors, handymen, engineers and other professionals should you have need. Educating my clients. This job is more than just a paycheck; it's an opportunity to help people live better in their home. I have the privilege of ensuring people understand their homes, can maintain them and provide safe conditions for their families.

We used Safe & Sound Inspections twice while searching for a home. My wife and I were very impressed by his thoroughness, his expertise, and his patience while explaining what he was seeing to two people who don't know a lot about home construction. He never once told us what he thought we should or shouldn't do, but he gave us all of the information we needed to make informed decisions. - Andy

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at their negative reviews and see how they've responded to correcting, clarifying, or resolving the matter.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about repairs and updates. Every home will need work and you need to be realistic about maintenance, updates and repairs. Generally speaking, setting a budget of around 2-3% of the purchase price is a good place to start.
