Jean is a very kind and caring person, and her patience with both dogs and their owners is outstanding. I had had the priviledge to attend several training classes wih her with my "problem child" foster dogs. With her instruction, I was able to learn many techniques to getting my fosters to focus, listen and all around behave better. She didn't even bat an eye when one of my fosters literally ate his homework while in class. I have also been to several puppy socials. Her ability and ease of managing a dozen puppies running and jumping all over the place in a safe but fun manor is envious...she makes pupy wrangling look easy! Her knowledge is vast, and her love of dogs in evident in how she handles training sessions, fun puppy socials or swim classes. I can't say anything negative about her.

Jean is knowledgable and patient, and she calls it like she sees it-straight up. You know where you stand, and what your dog needs from you in order to be successful. Jean has a natural understanding of dog behavior, and has a positive energy that makes the process easier & more enjoyable for both you and your dog. My dog went from being afraid of the water (and he is fearful anyway) to jumping right in and swimming excitedly for 45 minutes-all thanks to the environment Sit Stay Swim provides, and to Jean and her "good vibes". I have a fearful dog, and I have had some unfortunate interactions with people claiming to be "dog behavior professionals" before meeting Jean. Jean is the real deal; you will be doing both you and your dog a favor by trusting your loved one to Jean Carew.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer rescue discounts to our clients if you have adopted through one of our rescue partners. We offer socialization for as little as $5 a visit. Classes $100-$150, In home training packages $100-$1000, Play and Train sessions $45-$500, Private facility training $45 per hour, Swim Sessions $25-$40 (Packages also available!)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are constantly reading, attending seminars, and advancing our certifications as time and money allow. We attend conferences with our mentors and well known trainers regularly.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
A love of dogs and desire to make a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners. A natural dog handling ability, a presence in rescue and a need for positive reinforcement training in our community led us on this adventure. We are devoted everyday all day to our business. It is not a hobby it is a lifestyle!
