Medium: Colored pencil on colored Mi-Teintes artist paper. The Process 1. The interview: Depending on your geographic location, the interview will take place in person or over the phone. For the purpose of getting to know each other and the subject to be drawn, we will sort through images*, view examples, select paper color, discuss framing options, and display placement. 2. Agreement to the terms: There is a 50% down with the order. The balance will be due upon completion. 3. Participation in the process: Each step is documented and posted online for your approval. Starting with some quick practice drawings to familiarize myself with the subject, I then proceed to work out the composition. Once this step is completed, work on the final begins, with each major phase posted for your approval. 4. Take delivery: From interview to delivery, the entire process takes about three weeks. In the end, you will be the proud owner of a beautiful hand-drawn portrait, a family heirloom to be cherished for years to come. Pricing is as follows: * 8 x 10 -- 1/$150/$275; Single subject only. * 11 x 14 -- 1/$300, 2/$450, 3/$600, 4/$750, 5/$900 * 16 x 20 -- 1/$300, 2/$600, 3/$750, 4/$900, 5/$1,050 * 30 x 40 -- Quoted after the interview Legend: Dimensions -- Number of subjects/price unframed/price framed High-Resolution Digital Scan -- $50 A color-matched digital scan of the original artwork can be provided via e-mail attachment. Use this document to make your own reproductions to share with friends and family. Framing This is available for an additional $150 for 11 x 14 and 16 x 20, $125 for 8 x 10. It is a museum-quality solid wood frame in black with UV protective glass, archival matboard and mountboard. *Photo reference should be reasonably clear and large enough to discern the subject. If you do not have a photo that meets the criteria and if the subject is available, then I will make arrangements to personally photograph the subject for a fee of $35/hour plus travel time.
