Sam did a great job working on my computer that wouldn’t power on. From the start he had prompt and clear communication, plus arrived on time to my home. He was able to diagnose and repair what I thought was a bad PSU, but actually turned out to be BIOS/firmware update that was bricking my desktop. Even after fixing the problem he want above and beyond and delayed future updates for a month until the Dell/Windows incompatibility issue is resolved. I would not hesitate to call him again for any PC issues and will be referring him to friends and family if they ever have computer problems that arise!

Sam was honest, thorough, and friendly. Even though the parts we ordered did not repair my printer, he communicated clearly with me and he tried his best to fix my old laser printer. I do not hesitate to recommend Grandville IT! He was even willing to drive to Kalamazoo to pick up my machine!

Sam is the man. I had a problem with my camera system not working with my new router. I called Sam and he came out the next day. He wasn’t familiar with my system but quickly learned it and put in the new configurations. Everything works well. Sam is definitely my new IT guy….Definitely will call him again.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Scheduling is easy and informal. We can usually find a time that works for you within three days of contact, often even the same day. I typically schedule through Thumbtack messaging or a short phone call. Besides the time, I just need details about the problem and an address to drive to.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a bachelors in IT from Western Governors University and several industry certificates including the A+, Network+, Security+, and Project+ from CompTIA to name a few. Most of my useful training came from self-directed study as a teen and pre-teen. I've done a fair amount of technical work for non-profits and corporations, which has provided validation of the skills I learned at home.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Many of my customers are small business owners needing an issue resolved, many are friendly seniors looking for a bit of assistance with their technology. I love to work with both businesses and local residents.
