I cannot say enough good things about Jordan clark . If you are looking for a trainer for whatever the circumstances are I hope he is at the top of your list to contact .I had an emergency situation . I was struggling to get ANY local trainer on the phone . I left a message with Jordan and he contacted me at 8:45pm that day . It was so relieving to have some one that took the time to respond same day, let alone at the very end of their day .(Literally the only other trainer to call me back was in CHICAGO!) Jordan continued to uphold that standard and raise the bar , and at a very resonable price .The situation with my dog required further attetention outside of what Jordan could offer . Jordan had a network of KNOWLEDGEABLE HIGHLY CERTIFIED PROFESSIONALS he was able to put me in touch with while we continued our one on one training with him .Jordan was knowledgable , patient , and so very resourceful . He never once made me feel judged or talked down to me . I am and forever will be grateful to have Jordan as our trainer . He brought hope , constructive guidance and knowledge , and comfort into a very difficult situation .And did I mention he did all of this at the beginning of the covid pandemic and throughout it !Again if you are looking for a trainer I really hope Jordan and the dog training academy is at the top of your list to contact . You will not regret it.

I contacted Jordan to help me prepare my dog to be around my newborn niece. My dog is a large dog, so I wanted to make sure he was successful around babies and then as my niece grows she would be successful around large dogs. During my consultation, Jordan walked me through what Wesley needed to learn in order to accomplish the goals I had for him. He broke it down into small steps. I had the option to either sign up for 5 or 10 weeks. I chose the 10 weeks because I wanted to not only complete the agreed upon goals, but also see what else I could do with Wesley.Since this was during the shut down, my sessions were via Zoom. I was nervous that this would create a barrier. This was not the case at all! Jordan is able to break each behavior down into easy to follow steps. Every step of the training was explicitly taught and the weekly emails were easy to reference. I very much appreciated the emails! Everything we talked about was written in them so I didn't have to take notes during the sessions. Jordan is easy to contact throughout the week and answers any questions that might come up.The weekly homework is easy to manage on top of other life things going on. It became something I looked forward to do when I got home and a way to destress from the day. I love the relationship I have with my dog. This really improved my ability to communicate with Wesley. After completing the first 10 weeks, I decided to sign up for 5 more to see what else I could do with Wesley. This training exceeded my expectations. I can't express how happy I am with the results. I am goin to sign up for group classed next!

Ive been using Jordan for the last 4 years in training my Great Danes, a total of 4 dogs. Zeus has been in training since he was 12 weeks old. He is now 2 1/2 years old and still loves doing private lessons with Jordan. He is CGC certified and has recently been accepted into the West Michigan Therapy Dog organization. We never would have gotten this far without Jordans expertise and patience. Thank you Jordan for training the trainer.

Jordan is an excellent dog trainer, and he truly cares about all of his students. He trained both my Ellie Mae and Lucy from beginner all the way through advanced class for Ellie Mae and therapy dog with Lucy. Not only are the best behaved dogs we've ever had, but we learned so much from Jordan. We can never thank him enough for all he has done for us!

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?the price you pay for your training is largely based on the goals you have for your pet. You will spend more on private training compared to group lessons, however you receive an individualized training plan for your specific goals. Some behaviors can only be worked on in private lessons so if you are unsure where to start we suggest beginning with an Initial Consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We generally like to begin with an Initial Consultation to get to know the dogs case history and have a better understanding of the home life and the behaviors in question. If you have a young puppy (5 months or less in age), then generally starting with a group class is just fine unless you'd prefer private lessons or are seeing behavior issues. Most of our students who do group lessons bundle private lessons on top so they can receive the best of both worlds.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? The owner and head trainer is CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed) through the CCPDT, an international organization that sets the standard for modern dog trainers. All of our trainers are either certified or working towards their certification as we feel it is important our students are put into trusted and educated hands.
