Introduction: A graduate of the Drummers Collective School of Music in New York City. With over 35 years of playing experience including 25 years as a professional instructor in the West Michigan area.
My love for teaching and desire to see others grow and mature in their own musical expression is what motivates me in the pursuit of excellence in the field of drum set instruction.
My teaching/recording room provides the optimum environment in which to learn my well-rounded and thorough teaching curriculum. Styles taught include, jazz, country, rock, pop, latin, reggae, praise & worship and more.
The teaching curriculum is multi-faceted with the added use of DVD instructional materials as well as a digital recording studio that enables the student the experience of recording their own playing on to CD.

Danny was an incredible find. I tried the online Drumeo videos for a couple months but Danny provided everything I knew I was missing: technique, theory, timing and feel. He has an incredible ear for where every note should be. The real-time feedback Danny provides is very valuable. Danny is always mindful of my goals as a drummer and incorporates that into the learning. Danny is patient, kind and fun. I started with Danny in my mid/late 30s and he made me feel comfortable immediately. I learned with Danny while he was in Michigan and when he moved to Austin the most disappointing part was the fact that he would not be around to teach my son in a couple years when he is 7 or 8. I was looking forward to that very much. Highly recommended for youth and adults. I am grateful that Danny is continuing lessons with me via the internet. I have no interest in learning from anyone else.

Extremely talented musician and instructor. Both my son and I take lessons from him. Great with kids and adults. I’m on my 4th year of drum lessons and have learned a ton. Beginners and advanced players would benefit from working with him.

I took private lessons from Danny Reyes for twelve years, and I could not be more satisfied with the knowledge and skills I learned. I can confidently say that he is one of the best drum instructors in our area. He tailors his lessons to fit each student's needs and helps them learn new material at a comfortable yet productive pace. Some of the lesson material includes hand and foot technique, sight reading, navigating song charts, playing along to a metronome, and recording your own drumming to musical tracks. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, drum lessons with Danny and dedicated practice will make you a better musician.

Danny provides a professional learning environment. With the double drum setup you can sit side by side to hear , watch and then play the drums. He gives feedback in real time you can't get from online instruction. I would recommend him to anyone.
