I have had such a wonderful experience so far working with Dr. T. I started taking singing lessons as a form of therapy to help with my anxiety without strong expectations of what my voice could become (never took lessons before and I'm very left-brained), but I've been so delightfully surprised. Dr. T has helped me find a passion I never knew I had and potential that I never imagined. He's great at explaining concepts and techniques in multiple ways until finding a way that really clicks, and I never feel like I'm being criticized or judged when he coaches. Also, he's one of the nicest people I've encountered in a long time. I've found a new confidence in myself and my voice that I wouldn't trade for anything. I highly recommend Dr. T!
Ms. Bauman was patient & available when scheduling piano lessons for my grandson. During his first lesson she was positive, informative & adept at engaging an 8 yr. (active) boy in the instruction. He left his first lesson excited & eager to learn.
My son took lessons for 6 years with Jessica. In that time, the development was breathtaking. By the age of 11, he was playing pieces by Chopin, Mozart, Debussy, Burgmuller and a number of other classical composers. He eagerly anticipated the lessons each week and looked forward to working on the pieces with her. During Christmas breaks over the past 3 years, when piano lessons would not take place, he would tackle a new Chopin piece on his own and would proudly play it for her at the first lesson in January after the break. She was such a great inspiration to him, it's a shame she no longer teaches in Chicago. He's 13 now and is still playing and giving public performances, using the solid fundamentals that Jessica provided to keep progressing and playing more difficult music. I would strongly recommend Jessica as a piano teacher and I'm sure her approach and method of teaching will make any child (or adult, for that matter) a better musician.
Amanda has been my 10 year-old son's piano teacher for over four years. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and an overall excellent teacher! He looks forward to his lessons and has improved tremendously. Amanda will build upon his existing genre interests, so that he is always fully engaged. She really is the best piano teacher!
David gives me helpful tips to correct things about my singing technique and make them better. He has helped me tremendously with my foreign language songs. He finds ways to explain how he would like me to sing something differently and how it would help make me sound better, in a way that makes sense to me. He is also very friendly, experienced and very approachable. I like hearing him tell me about his time in performances. I enjoy having voice lessons with David very much.
Denielle is a wonderful music teacher, caring for her students' growth and success. She is committed to each student finding the love for music that she has experienced all her life.
Lisa has taught my son flute since January 2011 with outstanding results. Then, he was a 9 year old boy who had never been introduced to playing or reading music before. He now plays exceptionally well - playing at our church and in a local advanced band. She has coached our whole family through the basics, is in tune with his learning style and professional in every way.
Kamie was a refreshing change from previous "by-the-book" piano teachers. She does not take a rigid approach, allowing my children to explore their interests in music and help them achieve their goals. The kids enjoy their lessons and enjoy Kamie.
I believe that every lesson should be fun and comfortable! Depending on the students age and skill level, I pick out books that work for each student, and also ask the student to bring in a piece that they want to work on. Maybe we can learn that new radio hit or the oldie but a goodie that you've been wanting to learn for years! However, learning from books or internet videos alone do not offer the kind of one on one attention students need while learning an instrument.
I teach voice lessons to students interested in learning more about the voice and music. I create a personalized experience based on the needs and desires of the student.
11/13 is able to apply to other ages whatsoever can apply, if applicable. Don't be afraid to sing your favorite songs to me, so I can see which part of your singing needs help.
Lessons are affordable and geared around what you want to learn!

I am a musician who is currently studying at Western Michigan University. I have ten years of experience as both an oboist and a guitarist and about five years as a vocalist. My specialty is teaching not only guitar, but also the underlying theory behind playing guitar, which allows my students to apply their skills elsewhere, such as in piano or instruments found in the band and orchestra. I mostly work with beginners, although I am willing to work with people of all skill levels, assuming I believe that I can help them. Upon contacting me, I will work out a time for a short (free) interview in which we can discuss goals and playing abilities and how I can best suit your needs or the needs of your child. If you have any questions at all, feel free to get in contact with me.
