Introduction: Hello! My name is Stephanie Day. I am a member of the Michigan Association of Calligraphers. Rush requests will require a rush premium fee. Save yourself some money and place your order well in advance! I offer calligraphy for custom gifts, wedding ceremony and reception decorations such as: place cards, table numbers, welcome signs and cards and gifts signs! I make greeting cards which can be purchased individually or in a bulk set. Contact me for a special touch for thank you cards after your wedding or event! I am a watercolor and gouache artist who specializes in floral illustration. I also offer digital versions of watercolor and gouache illustration which is created on my iPad in Procreate. I have practiced for hundreds of hours at this point and I have made wonderful calligraphy pieces for family, friends and customers. I’ve expanded my calligraphy skills to digital calligraphy in Procreate on the IPad. It works well for quick mock ups to confirm what customers want and also to create digital calligraphy which can be made into prints, vectorized or used for social media and advertising! Calligraphy and watercolor botanical illustration are relaxing for me and a good creative outlet. I also enjoy that it makes others happy! I love knowing the work I do will bring a smile to someone's face; whether it is a custom print, handmade sign or a thank you card!

Stephanie did a great job on a mirror sign for my daughters wedding! Her communication skills were very good from the initial communication of what exactly the project entailed to updates on the status of the project. She is very professional and we are very happy with the end result! It is exactly what we asked for! I would use Stephanie again and would definitely recommend her for any calligraphy project my family or friends might have!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will work with individual budgets. The quote will depend on the type of ink requested, the font, and the quality of paper used or the type of wood a stain used for the hand painted signs I make.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I notify the customer about my interest. I request that we discuss details to further understand the scope of the project to give the best and most fair quote I can. I promise to work within a customers budget and provide quality work. I let them know that I will provide them with a sample of my work to help them decide if they want to hire me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self taught. I follow a handful of professional calligraphy artists on Instagram and have taken their classes and tutorials. I’ve been practicing calligraphy for four years now.
