Introduction: I have worked with dogs all my life. I started out grooming dogs, and from there I worked with animal control for serveral years until I got schooled in training dogs. I spent three years completing a Master Canine Certifcation, during which time I decoyed for state police canines. From there I started working on my own focusig on canine phycological disorders, problem behaviors, and aggression. I have been called as an expert to evaluate canine behavior for dogs involved in bite incidents. I have worked virtually all breeds over the ast 25yrs. and pretty much most any issue a dog can dream up. I work with and individual approach to each case. I love working with dogs and being able to help clients get the most out of the relationship they have with their dogs.

Linda Morin is such a blessing to my whole family. My husband wanted a boxer for our anniversary. I knew nothing about the breed except that they needed to have obedience training. Linda educated not just myself but my whole family on the behavior of the breed along with the proper training that our dog required. Working with her was absolutely wonderful, especially when I could see the progress not just with our boxer Rocky, but also with my kids as they also learned how to properly work the dog. The looks on their faces when they realized they could do it too was wonderful. Linda took the time to make sure we were doing everything correctly and that our boxer Rocky was progressing as well. I loved the personal touch she put into every training class. When she felt like we were ready, she invited us to start working in group classes. Wow what an experience to see her command a group of owners and dogs to process commands. It was quite amazing how she was able to control the whole class, while also giving personal attention to different individuals. She was also able to help us address a few problems we were having with our boxer. For example our boxer Rocky liked to jump on people when they would come to the house. She showed us how to stop that behavior. Linda Morin I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for not only showing us how to properly handle Rocky, but also for educating us on the breed. My family has a German Shepherd that wasn't really used to being around little kids. She would get nervous and act erratically. Lin Morin showed me some effective techniques that I could use to try to help assimilate the dog into our family..which worked wonderfully! It took time..because it also involved some things the kids could do to make her feel less scared and more part of the family group..but it's been working out great..and Lin's always been quick to answer any behavioral questions I have from time to time. I'd have to say what I appreciate most is that she has a personal interest with the dogs she works with. She seems to understand and relate well with the different types of personalities dogs can have. It helped us out tremendously!

Lin Morin of K9 Solutions is in my opinion Michigan's very own "Dog whisperer". No one that I have encountered knows a K9 better than her. Her compassion exceeds any limitations when it comes to our furry companions. Not to long ago I found out that I would be under going surgery and would need help walking, keeping my balance, sitting, and every day activities. I have a young beautiful female German shepherd and thought she could help me after my surgery. I consulted Lin about her, not knowing if my shepherd would be able to do such a task. When I approached Lin about my idea she greeted me with kindness and understanding, and most of all honesty. So many people now a days just see dollar bills when a person is in need and I must say, I never felt that way when talking with her. Also, my shepherd is small she is blond and not the poster child of "German Shepherd" identity in fact to look at her you would wonder what breed she is, and Lin did not treat her like a mut or un beautiful. That to me speaks volumes. I am sure if your reading this you know as well as I know our dogs aren't just dogs they are our babies. Lin evaluated my Opal Marie my shepherd to see if she would be a good candidate for service. After her training Opal was able to help me up and down my stairs, my steps and to help me around the house. When walking down steps Opal will allow me to place my hand on the middle of her back allowing me to balance and she waits for me, she does not rush or walk until I do. She also can do all of her training with no leash! I can hold her bandanna and give her the command and she stays right with me. She helps me get up from the sofa or any where I ask for her help. I cherish Lin Morin for what she was able to do for me and my Opal. I would recommend Lin Morin for any K9 service.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I like to have a phone interview with each client. I find having an opportunity to get some background is most helpful in determining what issues are occuring. next I will schedule a time to meet. After that a traing date will be set and I will meet with that person once a week for the duration of the program.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
9yrs Animal control 15yrs Raising German Shepherd dogs for autistic children 10yrs working with dog aggression 3yrs putting obedience titles on dogs 25yrs working with all breeds and training
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always enjoyed working with dogs. I started traing dogs professionally in the early 90s. I have titled 8 dogs in obdience, bred top of the line german shepherd service dogs, been called as an expert on canine temperment and agression in dogs involed in bite incidents by both Jackson and Washtenaw Counties.
