Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Greetings! I teach violin, viola, cello, guitar and piano, and although I can teach to advanced levels in all of them, my real speciality is young beginners! Currently, I’m only taking new students online or at my home studio in Grand Rapids, MI. Tuition is $110/month, payable through PayPal or similar institution, and due at the first lesson of each month. Please prioritize your reserved lesson time as cancellations will not be made up or refunded for any reason. I use an online curriculum which students must also subscribe to, which costs between $8-25/month, depending on which one or combinations we use. Since teaching is my full-time job, it’s important that my students commit to a nearly year-round routine. Students may take off a month of their choice during Summer break, and I usually take off the last week of December and the first week of January, and the week of Spring break. Since 2002, I’ve taught more than 23,000 lessons. From 2009-2012 I owned and operated a set of three fine arts centers for kids across West Michigan called Lil’ Learners. I currently teach 50+ students each week online, in my home studio, at Keyboard World, and for Hamilton Schools Homeschool co-op and Niles’ Homeschool Partnership. I also own and develop ExactNotes.com, which is the online home for my patent-pending music notation. If you have any questions I can help answer, or to schedule a first lesson, please contact me! I’m especially interested in curriculum design, how the brain learns, and similarities between learning a language and learning music. I would consider my work well done if I could get kids excited about making their own music in a way that makes it a special pastime for life, like it is for me :)

I've worked with Zach for a few years and couldn't be happier with the experience I've had with him. I had never had private lessons prior to working with Zach; I had been in orchestra for 3 years so I was very used to the group setting. Zach used that information to tailor my lessons to me specifically. He would play along with me which helped me so much. He helped me work on songs for orchestra along with working on solo songs. He's very friendly and pleasant to work with in general. He LOVES oatmeal raisin cookies and accepts them as a valid form of payment :) I absolutely loved working with Zach, he helped me grow as a Cellist over the few years we worked together. He still continues to encourage me in my endeavors even though I'm not taking lessons anymore. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone interested in taking lessons!!

Zach is a caring and creative teacher who is always inspired to think outside the box. My children worked with him for fencing (boys ages 4 & 5) even while one was in a wheelchair! Zach's compassion showed through while tutoring my cognitively impaired daughter and helped us all find a way to reach her best. We experienced a lot of fun and learning through dance and theater with all 6 of my children! Zach definitely added a well-rounded zest to our homeschool learning and we have him to thank as my children are exploring more options in life that they would not have even considered. His attitude of 'YOU CAN DO THIS' is very contagious and makes a deep impact in everyone involved.

Zack has always been professional and curious. I feel he has my child's best interests at heart and knows how to relate to them. He is capable of being respectful while commanding attention and obedience. He has a real desire for his students to learn and to continually improve his teaching methods.
