- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to bartend at Cheddar's years ago and then advanced to opening up new restaurants for them and training bartender and wait staff. When I got out of the restaurant business, I missed the bartending aspect of it. I started talking to friends and family and it just became word of mouth and I have been doing it on the side ever since. I love bartending! :)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I bartend for large or small functions. I have experience in many different types of events including wedding receptions, business functions, tailgate parties, birthday parties, holiday parties, Christmas parties and New Year's Eve parties. I have the tools and experience to help you determine set-up, how much liquor, beer, wine, pop, water, ice, glasses, etc.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The event I bartended at for Capitol Services at Old Town Marquee on 11/21/14. It started after Silver Bells in the City. They sponsored a thank you to our clients/Christmas party. It had to be one of the craziest/stressful/busiest/funnest events I have ever bartended at. People just kept coming! We estimated that there were at least 250 people there when it was the busiest. I received an overwhelming number of compliments for hanging in there and pushing through and still having fun and laughing the whole time doing it. I even had guests (that bartend at bars/restarants) comment that they could never have done what I did. It was the highest compliment I could have ever received. I was very proud of that night! :)
