Introduction: I have the patience and experience to stay with the problems until resolved. I will work with you until we get all aspects settled on your computer issues. I work on both PC's and Mac's. I like to help people and fix things. I have been fixing things for 50 years and computers for 30 years. Each computer and customer provides a new challenge. I observe all Covid 19 precautions and what I do is have the customer come to my home and drop off the computer and pickup my business card from the front covered porch. I then decontaminate the computer and work on it. The customer pays me by leaving payment digitally or manually in the mailbox via check, cash or bank note.

When you drop off your computer to a complete stranger off the Internet, you had better hope to your favorite that you can trust them. John is that guy. I trust John to accurately diagnose and completely repair my devices and, most importantly, maintain my privacy and confidentiality. He fixed my machine with a thorough cleaning, software and dust, replaced the drive with an SSD, new heat grease, and took the time to install free anti-virus, scanning and backup software in less than a week, at a price and dedication that cannot come from a store.

I had spilt water on my Macbook keypad and that ended up corroding the mother board and the battery. It could have meant replacing the entire hardware according to the apple store. And that's when John helped me. Not only did he diagnose the problem right, he also made sure that the repair was perfect so as there would be no other problem. John knows computers in and out like the back of his hand and I would highly recommend asking for his help if you are into computer trouble!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, I charge and hourly rate. If it's a big job I will charge a project fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will talk with them about their issues and come upon a plan of attack. We will settle on working from their home or from my geek room. I will give them a good ball park figure on pricing, so as to prepare them for the worst.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BSIT from CMU and have several MS certifications. I also have training from the US Army in all aspects of Desktop Support. I read alot of blogs and have weekly email on trends and issues. I have been repairing computers for over 20 years.
