We love the color of the paint, but the attention to detail, mess he left and unfinished paint area left a bad taste. He even left the empty paint cans on the lawn on the side yard. Took several hours of cleaning to get the paint off the floor, carpet and items he didn’t cover. He also didn’t listen to what paint colors we had and. “Mixed” two colors and ended up wasting an entire gallon of $40+ Sherwood-Williams paint. So, if you want pAint thrown up, no post-job cleanup and an attitude, he’s your man. The upside is he wasn’t expensive. The downside is you will be touching up areas and cleaning up his mess and he will misjudge how long the project is by 50%. This was a 2-man job, not a one man job.Oct 26, 2018VerifiedKennedy Home Improvements's reply
Sorry you feel that way . There was a 1/2 gal of each color left over because you bought to much. I put the empty cans in the cardboard boxes they came in outside because i wasn't going to leave them in your house. I offered to clean but your wife said she'd take care of it. The area not painted was never brought up until i was done & leaving. You new i was painting it alone when you hired me so to complain about that seems ridiculous. Your right i should have charged you double for the amount of work i did & yes it took me a extra day to do the job because of the obstacles .( furniture, vaulted ceilings, stairwell)
Chad did a great job for us. He was on time- did a great job prepping and painting our bathroom, built and installed an access panel for us and cleaned out our dryer vent. He was very professional, made some helpful suggestions regarding a bathroom fan and cleaned up too. We would hire him again!Sep 19, 2017
Did what we wanted done in a timely manner.Oct 28, 2017
I already had the 1st coat of the best stain on the market done with not 1 run. I left Chad to go to work and paid in full. This is the worst staining job I've seen. He did not do all 4 sides of the spindles or between where the spindles attach to the boards. There are runs everywhere and it's all so thick I can't even touch it up to look nice. This was a new deck which I feel is ruined. I do not have the time to sand and redo. That's why I hired in the 1st place. There is stain all over my siding too. Cracks and ends not stained at all!Sep 30, 2018VerifiedKennedy Home Improvements's reply
You could have told me you were unhappy with the job & i could have touched things up with a brush & cleaned off the siding. You paid me when i was 95% finished and appeared happy with everything at the time.
Chad was totally upfront and very collaborative person. I enjoyed working with him in getting our front porch pressure washed. I would definitely work with Chad on other home improvement projects.May 15, 2018Verified
