Kelly Connell

Introduction: My work is not about me, it is about the couples I serve. My goal is to work with couples to give them a meaningful ceremony that reflects their personal traditions and tastes. My extensive public speaking history helps me perform ceremonies with ease so I can focus on the couple and all present to bring love and joy to the ceremony. I take the responsibility of performing weddings seriously but not somberly believing that ceremonies can be meaningful and fun at the same time. I also help with rehearsal coordination and I arrive an hour early to make sure all the details are taken care of. My fee is all inclusive for all travel, writing and performing a ceremony the couple is happy with, all legalities related to signing and filing the license, rehearsal if there is one, and I like to meet with couples once to discuss the ceremony. For couples who are not local, I am happy to talk via phone or Skype. In my other work, I deal with couples in crisis so it is a true joy to be there at the beginning of a marriage when there is so much love and positive energy in the room. I have greatly enjoyed meeting couples and their families on what is a time of happiness, meaning and the start of an incredible journey in life. I feel a connection to each couple I have married and enjoy designing the ceremony they want and having it all come together on their big day. I am a strong believer in marriage equality and believe everyone should be able to marry the person they love. I find it incredibly satisfying to see couples reach their day and have the ceremony be exactly what they wanted knowing they will remember it for the rest of their lives.
