Having hit my weight loss goals some time ago, I found myself occupying a lean but bony body. The strength workouts Id been putting in just had not added up the way Id hoped; I began to think it impossible for a guy in his late 60s to build muscle. When I met Pete, he assured me otherwise. He told me that if I follow his direction on nutrition and exercise, I most certainly can and will add lean muscle. Now, after just a couple of weeks under Petes guidance, Im delighted to report that this *is* going to work! I can feel it. I can see it. Now Im working smart. Now, my time at the gym counts for something. Now, Im getting somewhere! I am so pleased to have this accomplished champ in my corner. Naturally, his own physique testifies to his dedication and technical knowledge, but it is Petes ability to teach and motivate that is, for me, transformative. Every time we meet, I come away stronger, smarter, happier. Pete makes himself available for pointers whenever questions arise. He is responsive to my needs and utterly reliable as a coach. I have worked with other nutritionists in the past and followed other diets over the last few years. Other nutritionists and diets required scales, measuring cups, and plain boring rice, chicken, and eggs. I fell off every plan and diet quickly. Shocking! I think she is like an architect for your body and the nutrients that will make it strong. She also takes into account your lifestyle. Everyone is different. I’m a 6’ tall female. My needs are goals are different than others and she gave me a blue print nutritional template tailored for me. She gave me the blue print and I can build meals that I like, that fit my lifestyle, and that are going to help me reach my goals. No measuring, no scales, and no daily cooking required. I have also struggled at times to follow Charlotte’s blue print nutritional template. I am human. My family eats unhealthy food that tempts me. I eat when I’m stressed. However, Charlotte’s template is super easy to reintroduce. I can get back on track easily and not feel like I am starving myself or eating bland, boring food. Charlotte really takes into account the whole person, your lifestyle, and your goals. She doesn’t try to impose a one-size fits all meal plan. Hands-On bodywork is a fantastic place to receive a therapeutic massage. I both work out a lot and spend a lot of time sitting at work - combinations that lead to significant tension in the back, shoulders, and neck. After my first visit, not only was a more mobile and pain free in those areas then when I arrived, everything else felt that way too. Stephanie is very personable and very knowledgeable, and helped me feel entirely at ease during each of my visits. Her on-site massage room is quiet, calming, and immaculately clean. I can't recommend her massage services highly enough, and while I haven't used them myself, our conversations lead me to believe that her work as a personal trainer and weight loss consultant would be of the same high quality. Robert came to me one night after seeing my successes and failures over the past couple years with diet and weight loss. He was genuine and caring and offered his services to me. To be honest, at first I was apprehensive mostly due to cost and time - but he's been absolutely wonderful. He's taken the time to understand my lifestyle (working 2 jobs) and has helped guide me toward finding ways to incorporate a healthy lifestyle in it. Every personal training session is more than just a work out. I learned that. You can't just show up, work out and leave. This has to become a part of your life - day in and day out. It took me almost 3 months to make a paradigm shift from within. To go from eating fast food, never working out and eating at poor times ... To eating healthy, eating smaller portions several times a day... Takes effort and motivation and Robert helps you realize this. For me, my health is the most important. I want to life a full life and now I can say that I want to live a full, active life. Eventually make my way to doing marathons and the like. Robert uses his understanding of behaviors to guide you through the process of his training. I've honestly felt like I have a mentor, psychologist, nutritionist and ultimately a trainer who fully understands what im going through and motivates me to succeed. And I have!! I've lost over 80 pounds and continue to be a success as I learn more and push more every time I work with a Robert.
