FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30 for diagnosis of the issue and formulating a service plan. If the fix is easy and can be completed quickly during the diagnosis process, that would be the final amount. If the repair will take more time, I charge $30 an hour. I am able to provide an accurate estimation time I would need to complete the repair when the diagnosis is complete. If the repair require new parts, the cost of those would be cleared with the customer and added to the final bill.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to establish contact with customer and discuss the issue they are experiencing. With that information I try to make an informal diagnosis and set up a time to meet the customer so I can see the issue directly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Computer Information Systems and have worked over 5 years in the Information Technology field. I have performed extensive hardware and software diagnosis, repair, and recovery for both Macs and PCs during that time. I have also spent a lot of time training users of all levels on basic computer use and various common software programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite. I hold certification with CompTIA for Network and Computer set up, troubleshooting, and repair. I also have certifications through Apple related to diagnosing and repairs their laptop and desktops.
