"“Fitness should be doing something you enjoy. It should also be something that challenges you.” This is one of the first statements Mr. Phillips told me when I was complaining about wanting to “get in shape” but not knowing how. This is also one of the many ways he showed me that he is a different kind of trainer. A few key words: Motivating: I have stopped and started plenty of times. He has always had a perspective to share with me that encouraged me to try again. Patient: When I’m frustrated with myself or my progress (or lack thereof) he is not. He reminds me to be patient with myself and patient with the process and to remember to enjoy what I’m doing. Validating: You will notice that he will compliment you before he corrects you. Meaning, he will say “good! One more...” and then he’ll fix your posture or your grip or point out where to focus your muscles’ attention. Realistic: He pays attention to where you want to go and he pays attention to how you’re going to get there. He will not push you further than he knows you’re willing to go and definitely not just to prove a point. He will pace you and that pacing may include a small challenge when he knows you’re ready. (Surprise!) Finally, the last thing I’ll share is his psychology about fitness and the necessary mindset for sustained success. At one of his group fitness sessions he said “when you leave here & find yourself in a tempting situation, you’re going to use the mental toughness you get from exercising in here to stay mentally tough out there.” He’s right. "I have had the pleasure of training with Nik for the past six years. Trainer Nik is well-versed in the exercise and nutritional sciences. Nik is always keeping up with the newest literature to ensure the greatest results in my training plan. I have attended one on one training sessions, as well as boot camps. Both of those were wonderful experiences. Trainer Nik always makes himself available, day or night to go over your goals. "Before hiring Jay, I had been battling a labrum tear for over 2 years. I had done everything medical experts had advised as far as nursing that area back to healh, but nothing seemed to work. That is, until Jay accepted me as a client at the very start of 2014. Through Jays years of experience with strength & conditioning and nutrition expertise, the man not only helped me nurse my labrum back to good health, but has been & still is a major driving force behind my intensity & work ethic in the weight room, & on the competition stage! "Adrienne McDonald has been my trainer for a while now, and I have to say that she is by far the best trainer I have worked with. I’ve never really felt comfortable with most trainers, but Adrienne always makes me feel like she has my best interests and training success as her priorities. I always feel like she cares, but she also drives me to do my personal best. Another thing that sets her apart is her attention to proper form in each training situation. I have learned so much from her, and I highly recommend her for her skills, her wisdom and the results that she produces. I feel blessed to be able to work with her."

"I have trained with Ryan for more than a month by now and I have only positive things to mention about him. From the first meeting, Ryan has met and exceeded my expectations. His method of training is generating results for me and I have yet to have a sore muscle. The sessions are varied and never boring. Ryan pays close attention to how the trainee performs the exercises and constantly questions for pain, burn, strain. while correcting body posture for best results. His nutrition recommendations are easy to follow.I appreciate the fact that Ryan encourages healthy eating habits for weight control rather than pills and powders and all sorts of diets. All the training sessions that we go through are tailored to my specific goals that I set during the first meeting. Ryan is constantly adjusting my workout sessions to make sure that I am making steady progress. Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend Ryan as a personal trainer. Ryan is full of energy but not overwhelming, has a positive attitude, always on time, has a wealth of knowledge relative to the human body muscles and how to best put them to work His approach is on the opposite spectrum of "one size fits all" training method and I really appreciate that."

"Mr. Paul Barr was my high school cross country coach for the past two years. At every practice he was always early. He taught the team how respect themselves as athletes and respect their bodies. He is beyond reliable and is well informed about physical and mental health. He saw potential in everyone, and made sure to highlight their skills in order for them to be their best. Paul is a great mentor and friend. He is willing to do anything to make sure you are able to give your all. I was considering running for university, and he was there for me. He believed that I could do it; he took time out of his personal life to make a running schedule and to coach me. He never once told me that I was incapable of doing anything. Paul is an all around great person; he is beyond reliable and responsible, he is organized, and he is willing to give 110% percent to ensure that you are physically and mentally healthy. "

"I waited a while to write this review. I simply love working with Pete. He's knowledgeable, professional, personable. He's a smart motivator, and somehow, even when I am not feeling my best to work out, when I train with him, I forget about it. There is also one quality not to overlook: he's super punctual, or communicates, and very reliable (this kind of reliability on a consistent basis i find rare). He's great whether you want to get in shape, take it to the higher level, or just have a smart trainer and fitness partner to give you extra help. I needed a specific help when I turned to Pete, and I am seeing the results and looking forward to more. "

"When I started working out at Health Targeted Solutions almost 3 years ago I was lost & hated myself for being so out of shape. I would hide in the corner of the gym hoping nobody would notice me. Luckily, Eli did notice. Eli Dobek, one of two trainers at the gym supported me every step of the way by encouraging me to push harder. Eli is knowledgeable, kind, supportive and determined to make you a better version of yourself. Don't get me wrong, Eli's workouts are tough & make me walk funny for days after. Every square inch of my body is sore after one of her weekend workouts but I love every second of it. I feel like I am in my 20's again and am stronger than I ever thought possible. I owe it all to the trainers at Health Targeted Solutions."
