We found a great fit for my daughter and her vocal lessons! She walked out of her first session with new enthusiasm! Thank you Brian and Vivianna!
I've been taking drum lessons with Mike for almost a year now. I can say with confidence that I've been progressing from lesson to lesson under his instruction and guidance. If I were to describe Mike as a teacher so far, he would be the Yoda of drums; he's positive, gentle, and fun. But at the same time, he's firm and pushes you to be the best drummer you can be. Mike also calibrates his lesson based on your current drum level; he never teaches something that is too easy nor does he teach something that is too difficult. Instead, he has guided me through challenging but achievable exercises. Progression has been improving one baby-step at a time. This wouldn't have been possible without Mike's attention to detail, patience, encouragement, and continuous feedback. With that being said, these small baby-steps over the past year have led to tremendous improvement in my skills in 2016. Looking forward to getting even better in 2017. I would highly recommend Mike for private lessons if you wish to be a JEDI DRUM MASTER!
My son had never had drum lessons before so he was pretty bad at first. We can definitely tell the difference over the past 2 months when he is down stairs practicing. Scott is very patient and my son really enjoys his lessons.
Our daughter loves the guitar again thanks to Alexander! He has a great teaching style. We used to push her to practice before, but now she picks up the guitar on her own and can't wait for her next lesson because of her instructor. Glad we found him!
Alec does so well with my daughter. She sometimes likes to try and do her own thing and instead of pushing her to always focus, which isn't always an easy task for a child, he'll at times encourage her free play to get it out and then she's back to wanting to learn. She very much enjoys going because he makes it a fun learning experience. She sounds better each time going so the improvement is astounding. I really appreciate how good Alec is with her and I've already recommended this place to friends based simply on how incredible he is.
Devin is one of these guys that get it! Ive had a really good experience with him. He's been teaching me privately for about 2 years and has shown me how to connect what was missing in my playing to what I thought I understood! Fast forward.. I've just released a record and finished a 3 week US tour.....I never wouldve had the ability or confidence without him
James is without a doubt, the most compatible musical instructor I have ever had. He is both talented and versatile as a musician, which translates to him being a very adaptable teacher. This flexibility was important to me because it meant he had something to teach me every lesson, even when my incredibly vague goal was "to learn to play the banjo". This skill as an instructor is attached to a personable human being who I believe could hold a conversation whether his student was a suburban teenager, like me, or the Dalai Lama. All of this is made possible by the most important quality a mentor can have: patience. James has an abundance of patience which belies his gentle firmness as a teacher. I was incredibly disappointed to hear that he was moving away, but I wish him all the best and hope he builds a new collection of students who are as committed to their craft as he is.
I was a student of Sam's for about two years, and I was extremely pleased with the level of improvement that my drumming took in such a short amount of time. Sam is great at breaking down concepts and explaining them in an easy to grasp way. His analogies are both entertaining and informative, the perfect combo to make any concept stick. The best part about working with Sam is that I could bring any concern or problem I'd been having into a lesson, and he would instantly have a creative way of breaking it down and showing me how I should practice it. Sam not only taught me important technical aspects of drumming, but he taught me how to practice effectively, and how to continue learning outside of lessons. I would highly recommend Sam as a teacher for students of any level.
My grandson was visiting from outstate and was required to keep up his cello lessons. I was very impressed with his teacher and staff.
Kristina is amazing! I look forward to working with her every week. She's nice and sweet and provides really great insight and suggestions.
Brian has been very encouraging to my son as a new percussionist. He’s easy to work with and very professional. I highly recommend!
I have heard Michele play in a variety of bands from cover rock to Celtic tunes! I also have observed her teaching all ages and she is an excellent teacher. She played the harp at my Dad's funeral and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend her.
Lessons are available for students of all ages and ability levels. I can travel to your home or you can come to my home (drum set and marimba are available at mine). Lessons are for all different kinds of techniques: rock and jazz drum set, rudimental/marching band drumline techniques, concert and orchestral, etc. Lessons cost $20 for a half hour and $40 for an hour. You can do an hour lesson every other week or a half-hour lesson every week. We will work out a schedule with whatever will work for both of us.

I am a freelance jazz musician in the Michigan area. I am proficient in all forms of music, but I enjoy and am best at playing jazz, soul, hip-hop and funk. I am available for any sort of performance. I can construct a group upon request (i.e., trio, quintet, etc.). I am also available for private lessons on upright and electric bass, piano and keyboards, drum set and percussion and guitar. My main instrument and/or what I studied in university is upright bass, so naturally, I would be able to help most in that area. That being said, I play the drums and the piano professionally as well. All the best, Aidan Cafferty
I teach piano, guitar, bass, and drums. I am a successful songwriter who can help teach modern music theory to people of all ages.
My name is Devin Hammond, and I play drums. I have been playing for over 5 years now in genres ranging from funk, Latin, jazz, gospel, and contemporary music. As an instructor, my main focus is to give students the fundamentals of being a musician and learning how to not just play music but feel it as well. I am very flexible and open to my students and will give them everything I can offer as an instructor.
