- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With Zach working at a restaurant as well as with Encore he is always perfecting his skills on a daily basis. Meghan has plans of returning to school to learn more techniques on sugar art.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Zach was in the culinary world working at many successful restaurants as a Sous Chef. Meghan had run her own cake decorating business for a few years that actually helped pay her way through Holistic School. When they both met while working at a restaurant together, they not only fell in love but they joined forces. They did their first Pop up dinner together which became a big success. They were asked to come back and do another Pop up dinner. Their next one was even more successful. After that they have been booking events and making cakes for people all over Metro Detroit.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Buffet Style events are most common. We will drop off the food or stay and switch it out as trays get low. We let the client decide what they prefer. We have done a few Private dinner parties where we cook in the guest's home and do a plated meal for their friends and family.
