FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the size of the audience, location, length of presentation. I offer a discount for non-profit organizations. If in the southeast Michigan area I generally start at $575 for up to two hours (i.e. if there is a dinner, presentation, afterglow) My fees go up incrementally after that depending on travel time. If beyond two hours travel, besides travel fees I would need accommodations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I first like to do a phone interview to determine what is expected/needed, negotiate the fee, etc. I submit an invoice to the organization which is payable no later than 3 days before the event (other payment arrangements can be discussed) I allow for 2 planning conversations by phone and 1 site/in-person meeting if needed in cost if in Southeast Michigan. After the event, I request a debrief with the client.
