Alex couldn’t have been a better introduction to yoga for me. The classes are small enough that you receive personal attention, and everyone from the young and experienced to the old beginners gets a session which is suited to their abilities. The exercises are also varied so you don’t get bored. I don’t know how he does it. A good teacher and a nice man. Highly recommended.

I hired Body by Design once before and just hired them again. I wanted to lose some weight & complete the Tough Mudder event. Keegan & kathleen took me througj some real tough routines and were so encouraging when I needed them to be. They even participated in the event with me to show their support. What I like best is that they train anywhere which is so very convienent. They even did some sessions with my mom & my sister who were very happy as well. I look forward to my next round of results with them & would recomend Body by Design to anyone!

Great yoga classes. I have now attended numerous classes lead by Eli. I am a novice at yoga. She makes it fun, relaxing and challenging all at the same time. It keeps me coming back. The main benefit I get from the classes is two-fold: 1. It puts me in a relax state, like a meditation would. 2. It helps me with my flexibility and stretching. I would recommend classes with Eli. She is knowledgeable, patient and fun.

My friend and I have semi private lessons because my friend has Parkinson's and moves slower,is not comfortable in a regular big class. Natasha works with both of us together but still addresses our individual issues.. She is very positive in all aspects,a joy to have as an instructor. We now have class twice a week.

Kara is really an amazing teacher, and equally as great of a person. Ever since I started taking classes with Kara I really took my yoga practice to the next level. As an athlete, I seek some physical challenge in my practice, and Kara is able to challenge my not only physically with the asanas, but mentally as well. I highly recommend taking classes with her, as you really get a value. Creative and fun flows, inspiration and motivation throughout the practice, and some really great music as well. Can't recommend Kara enough!!

I had Emily as a teacher for a private, one hour long yoga class with me and a friend. She was a calm, informative, and understanding and welcoming teacher. She gave us both individual attention and tips for our specific needs and bodies. Emily also helped teach me more about alignment, which was super helpful since I am still new-ish to yoga.

Caryn Gallagher is an excellent yoga instructor. She is able to offer a diverse, interesting, challenging yet comfortable yoga class for students from beginning to advanced level. I have taken yoga from instructors in far away locations such as Abu Dhabi and throughout the U.S., and she remains consistently outstanding in comparison to others. The most fascinating aspect of her classes is that the class is never repetitive; she just has such an experienced instructor background that she is able to bring to her classes to keep them interesting and fulfilling. I would highly recommend her! Bonnie McNeill, Naples, Florida

I've had the privilege of participating in Jackie's Baptiste Power yoga classes and the added benefit of a private session. If you haven't been to one of her classes you don't know what you are missing! They are some of the most intimate, fun and inspiring classes I have been to. Jackie is an amazing, genuine human being. It is impossible not to like her. She has a wealth of knowledge about yoga and the benefits and variations of each pose. She tailors each class to her students' needs and interests and ensures that every individual is safely working their "edge". Her adjustments allowed me to access postures more fully and truly deepen my practice. She is also a great motivator-- her belief (and encouragement) in your ability to push past your perceived limits is so powerful you will be amazed at what you can accomplish under her guidance. I always leave the class feeling so much more energetic, with a renewed sense of connection to my body. In addition to her gift of yoga, I have also on more than one occasion used her healthy (and yummy) recipes and eating tips! What an unbelievable gift she is sharing with the community!

Thumbtack asks some specific questions, so I'm giving specific answers! :) Service: I have done yoga and physical training with Jamal. Both were great! What went well: I have never been the most athletic person and that's okay with Jamal! You have to be specific with him because he really wants you to be the best you can be. Do not be shy about any medical conditions or issues that you have in your body; the more you tell him, the more he can tailor the training to your body. I have sufferered with back issues for years and his yoga classes had me feeling AMAZING!! He also made sure the exercises I was doing did not exacerbate my back issues. What could have gone better: Jamal is going to push you, not past your limits, but probably right up to them. I am used to this because I have had other trainers, however, some people may be intimidated. A word of advice: don't be! Be honest about your limits and tell him what won't work for you. GIVE THE WORK OUTS A CHANCE (lol) but still be honest.

About YOU: -You are so busy juggling the responsibilities of your family life and intense career that you barely been able to squeeze in sleeping and eating, let alone exercise. -You are starting to feel the effects this constant go-go-go is having on your body. You are exhausted and distracted, your joints feel stiff, and your back aches from so much sitting. -You have heard good things about yoga, but you are not sure if it will be a good fit for you. - You need actionable, tangible results, not new age BS, and you certainly do not want to waste your time. -If you're going to have a yoga practice, you know you want to see positive change quickly and still keep your schedule, needs and goals in check. About ME: I teach beginner yogis how to create strength, balance, more flexibility and ease in their body and mind so they can be more productive at work, more present at home, and live life fully. We might be the perfect fit for each other if: -You are intimidated by classes and want to learn yoga from a teacher who gets you and can adapt to your body. -Your body is in pain and you've heard yoga can help, but not sure where to start. -Your mind is clouded and frazzled. You think it is possible to feel better, but you a™re not sure how to get there. -You would love to experience the benefits of yoga in a way that is actionable or useful (not woo-woo, new-agey weirdness). The West End Yoga Company offers: PRIVATE POWER HOUR: Personalized 90 minute yoga sessions in the comfort of your home, office, or The Center for Yoga & Massage Studio in Plymouth so that you can experience the benefits of yoga on your schedule. (If you are coming to The Center, days and times of availability may vary depending on other events.) HOW IT WORKS: These sessions are YOURS. A POWERFUL QUALITY NETWORK: Access to a network of health & life coaching, nutrition advice, massage therapists, and specialized yoga teachers for a range of different ailments. Types of Personalized Yoga Sessions: Yoga for Athletes Includes therapeutic stretching, specific strength training, and posture assessment for running and golf with the intention of performance improvement. The importance of focus and mindfulness is also addressed. Ideal for all kind of athletes and age levels. Therapeutic Yoga Because of my own experience through healing of advanced cancer with yoga, anything is possible when the mind and body are connected. We will use the stilling of the mind through the union of breath and awareness to promote deep physical healing, which can lead to emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.Yoga therapy is for people who have experienced trauma, including cancer, eating disorders, scoliosis¸ herniated disks, and rotator-cuff rehabilitation. Restorative Yoga Creating a grounded and nurturing environment, we will use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support long held poses and make space for students to rest. Restorative yoga quiets the sympathetic nervous system and stimulates the para-sympathetic nervous system. This allows for true healing, including an improvement in sleep, digestion, focus, and general well-being. Ideal for people who need space and time to let everything go and relax. Prenatal Yoga Prepare for birth by building strength and flexibility to ensure an easier labor and postpartum recovery. This will be both a challenging and relaxing class, intended to empower and inspire. Prenatal yoga can be as active or as restful as you and your baby need. I have been there 3 times, so I know that all mamas can use nurturing, supportive energy.
