I loved the musical teacher she was such a sweetheart it was amazing. Although I would say that it's kinda pricey for singing lessons but oh well that's what happens when you decide to take them.
My 5 year old started piano lessons with Tom a few months ago and I'm very pleased with her progress and his patience! He's accommodating to our schedule and a great teacher. He explains things well in a way she understands and did I mention he is patient?!?!? I'd definitely recommend him as a piano teacher, and we're hoping in a few years, my daughter will learn how to play the guitar with him too.
My son had never had drum lessons before so he was pretty bad at first. We can definitely tell the difference over the past 2 months when he is down stairs practicing. Scott is very patient and my son really enjoys his lessons.
I'm an experienced guitar player, who returned to the instrument after a many year absence. It took me a LONG time to find a guitar teacher..and I found one with Nathan Montgomery. There were many others who could play, but not teach. Nathan is A LOT more patient with me than I am, and patient with the material no matter how simple or complex it is. Nathan always has some little practice technique that helps me to train my mind and my fingers or that can give me a process for getting through a piece that's complicated for me. He's flexible..if my muse and big mouth take our lesson in a completely different direction...he goes with it, tho does refocus me when necessary. Because Nathan has all these qualities, I can easily picture him teaching any one, any age, any level. There were some who could teach guitar, but NOT music, because they didn't really know music theory. Nathan infuses my lessons with thoughts on how music is designed and created, so I'm gradually getting a theory foundation while I learn songs I'm enjoying. There were few who actually LISTENED to what I could do before deciding how to teach me, as Nathan does repeatedly, because what I can do is constantly changing. Most importantly, I see a smile on Nathan's face when he sees progress...so I'm thinking it's not just a job to him. Met Don Ross (guitar god) at a workshop once and he offered to teach me, saying he could cover my music theory gaps in 4 lessons. I told him... "I'm good..I gotta great guitar teacher."
My daughter has been seeing Ms. Sylvia for piano lessons 3 + yrs and plays really well and understands how to read music well. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn to play piano!
Oh my goodness, we LOVE Laurie!! My 9 year old son has never played an instrument before. Laurie clicked with him right away, listens to him, works at his pace while challenging him, and is seriously a wonderful person to be around! HIGHLY recommend!
Great Teachers. My son has taken lessons there for about 4 years. Joined the band and now they are getting real gigs. He also plays in the Jazz Band at OHS and plans on joining the Marching Band next year. Highly recommended.
